Mom was folding my laundry when I arrived home that day. I silently went upstairs, as I did not intend to alarm her.In all honesty, I didn't want to talk to her about my first day of therapy session.

As soon as I entered my room, I checked my phone to see if I had any messages. I had one text from Brad.

Hey C... Just got back from Manchester. Do you wanna hang out at the park?"

Brad was one of my best friends or should I say my only friend.

Sure... See you in five!

The sky was a beautiful shade of blue. My walk to the park was basically 3 minutes.
Immediately, I spotted Brad. He was tall and had this perfect shade of blonde hair. He had green eyes and these adorable dimples on his cheeks.

"Hey Black," he said delightfully.

"Brad...hey! I missed you!" I claimed as I ran to hug him.

"Of course you missed me. I'm amazing" he said with a grin.

"So how is life in the UK?" I asked curiously.

Before he could even reply, his phone rang.
"Yo Crystal" he said as soon as he hang up, "I just got a call from these guys I met in Manchester and they want me to come over to there place."

"Why?" I asked.

"Well... I told them that I will do the cover art for there EP. They are in a band. You wanna come?" He asked.

"Yeah... Sure." I said reluctantly.

We pulled over to a cream colored house. Brad walked over to the garage door and opened it. I quickly followed him like a lost puppy.

"Hey guys... Meet my friend Crystal," Brad said to the guys who were preparing their instruments.

I sat down and watched Brad discuss with the guys about the cover art of their song. The door bell rang and one of the guys who I think is called Adam, kindly asked me to go answer it.

As I approached the door and turned the handle, I saw a familiar face.

"Crystal," he said.

It was Matty!

"What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?"I asked.
"Uhm... No!" He said while laughing, "I live here. Now if you would step away from the door and allow me to enter!"

I took a step behind and watched him walk in recklessly. He went straight to the other guys.

Finally they were done with deciding the cover art.
"Are you guys leaving?" Matty asked, "I would love it if you could stay and listen to us perform."

"Sure... Is that cool with you C?" Brad asked.

"Yeah...it's fine,"

"This song is called The City" Matty introduced.

As he began to sing, I realized that his voice was so raw and impeccable. It was simple beautiful.
