The prologue of this story can be read in the I Should Have Known Better book. I forgot the password of that acct. so I'm just gonna finish it here. This is my first story in wattpad. Took me a measurable amount of guts to write here. So, yeah, hope you guys would like it. Enjoy!  :) Thanks!

"But, mom!"

"Oh, shut up, Miley. You had your chance.  Had. Just live with it, darling. You're doing fine, anyway." I rolled my eyes.  "And you might as well stop rolling your eyes, you know."

"Fine." Argh. I went upstairs to my room and threw myself in bed. I'm exhausted. I've been trying to persuade mom for the hundredth time to let me shift course and she, for some reason only Loki knows, shove me off, like, for the hundredth squared time. Imagine that? No, forget it. I got up and dialled Harvey's number.

"HARVEEEEEEY!"

"Meet me up at the park by 15 minutes." Yep, he got the message, right.

"Okay. I love you so much."

"Of course. Who wouldn't?" And I could almost picture him smirking over the phone. Tss. Boys. So instead of arguing with him, I ended the call immediately and hurried downstairs. I took my umbrella with me (just in case it might rain) and head off towards the park. It wasn't a long walk, anyway. I was almost there when I caught sight of Harvey. It wasn't hard spotting him. Much in fact, it's the opposite. He always have that certain aura that almost always made him glow amongst the crowd. Not that I am about to describe my bestfriend right now. And oh, yeah, Harvey-- obviously-- is my bestfriend. Just in case pointing out the obvious would make nobody in particular less stupid. Grin

"Hey," I said as I sat beside him.

"Spill." Did I told you already that he's the kind of guy who always wanted to get a point straight?

"Mom thinks I'm insane." He sighed.

"You're still going with the whole shifting thing, aye?"

"Well, I personally think I should be. I mean, ain't college all about what you wanted to be for the rest of your life?"

"I guess so."

"Then I'm wasting my time with nursing." I let out a heavy sigh.

"Miley, you'd be turning 3rd year this coming semester. Don't you think that would be a lot of waste when suddenly you shift course?"

"But--"

"And money, too. Heck. Your school's fee is triple than ours, for crying out loud! Better do some justice with that, you know."

I did not say anything. Courtney McKinley Medical College sure is pocket-unfriendly (if there's such a word). Darrrrrrn. I frowned.

"Let's get  outta here." He stood up. I looked at him questioningly. "Just follow me."

So, yeah, I followed him. We ended up at their front door. Nice.

"I'll just get something. Wait a sec." Oh. Okay. I just nod at him and waited outside. Not that I am not welcome. I'm actually pretty much treated by Harvey's parents and siblings as family, but I'm just not in the spirit to talk to any soul other than him. And he knows that, merci Dieu!

"Let's go," he said with a smile.

"What's with the smile,creep-o?" I teased. He doesn't want to be called creep-o. It pains his ego. Hahahahaha

"Shut up. For a guy as handsome as me to be called creep-o is undeniably preposterous!" And he smirked. See?

"Yada, yada. Whatever." I rolled my eyes for effect. "So where are we going again?" I asked.

"Gavin's throwing a party at their place." Gavin?

"Wait. Isn't that suppose to be an all-boys party?" He hesitated for a moment then shrugged.

"They won't mind. And besides, Peter and Gary took their girlfriends with them last time. I bet they'll bring them too tonight," he grinned.

Okay. Then suddenly it hit me.

"Are you out of your mind? I'm wearing my pj's!" I freaked out. He stared at me for a couple of seconds and burst out laughing. "Not funny, Harvey!"

"Sorry. I haven't noticed. I was pretty much used seeing you with them that a for a moment there I thought maybe you've decided to make it your fashion statement. Hahahaha" I glared at him.

"I''m going home. Enjoy the party, jerk wad!" I walked away dragging the cement off the street. Just kidding. Harvey followed me and put his arms around my shoulders.

"Good idea. I haven't seen your room for ages." I raised my brow and took his arms off my shoulders.

"Whoever invited you to come?"

He just shrugged and said, "I invited myself. Got a problem with that?" then he smirked.

I gave  up. Arguing with him seems an impossible battle. We walked silently towards my house and went in. Dad was already home from work and Mom was setting the tables, getting ready for dinner.

"Good evening,  House of P!" Harvey greeted grinning. This was his usual way of greeting my family. P stands for Patridge, our family name. Mom looked at Harvey and smiled.

"Harvey, dear, you're just in time for dinner."

"Umm. I'already full Mrs. P and--"

"I won't take no for an answer." Mom cut  off. She motioned for us to sit. We gave in and walked towards the dining table. Harvey sat beside me. Dad walked in and smiled at us.

"Hi, Harvey."

"Hello,Dr. P," he said  in a manner that could have been mistaken as a diplomat. Roll Eyes.   Just when I  was about to say something, Clark and Cole showed up with Mom behind them carrying a tray. Clark  punched Harvey jokingly and sat beside him. Cole  just nod at Harvey then took his  seat. Clark's my twin brother, by the way. He and Harvey are  close as brothers, too. They're part of a band called The Minds. Weird name,  ifyou ask me. But it actually made a lot of sense. The entire member of the band (which is four) are all majoring Psychology. All boys. They all started way back during highschool. 3rd year, to be exact. They're well-known, verrrrrry. All of them are top  performers in class and drop-dead gorgeous. Not that I'm ever gonna mention that infront of them. Hell, no. Never.

Stanley, their lead singer, is my boyfriend. JOKEEE. He's my all-time crush. But nobody knows. And nobody should know. Clark is the guitarist while Harvey's the drummer. And the one responsible for the keyboard's Calvin.
