"What happened," is the first thought that crosses your mind as you slowly regain consciousness.

The temptation to escape from blissful darkness is hard as your mind becomes alert.

"I fell asleep," is the answer that follows after a moment.

Before your immediate slumber, you remember you had been hunting after the Pillar Men.

"Why did we fight," the question sluggishly pops up.

It was strange how long it took for you to remember, but as the memory came along you remembered that Kars had found the location of another Red Stone of Aja, one that was better than the one you previously destroyed.

When you had tracked them down, your search had led you to Mexico. Upon your arrival to Mexico, the Pillar Men had created enough vampires able to stand in your way as they did whatever they had planned inside a temple.

Without rest, you had drained much of your solar energy and even more so when the battle turned worse when Kars and the others decided to join the fight.

Exhaustion had come upon you in an instant, causing the battle to end rather abruptly as your movements became sluggish.

Instead of killing you, the Pillar Men had surrounded you and began to give you some affection as a sleepy haze overcomes your mind.

From there, you begin to feel the phantom touch of Kars' hands running through your hair as exhaustion plagued your body.

You feel Wammu pressing your hand to his cheek, nuzzling your palm softly while Esidisi held your other hand and gently rubbed circles against your soft skin.

Santana has a gentle grip around your ankle, his presence apparent as he gives it small squeezes.

Though some bruises were scattered across your body, the Pillar Men had bleeding wounds and burns from the solar energy you had released upon the earlier fight.

As much as you didn't want to, their gentle ministrations were going to make you fall asleep.

It was inevitable.

As tired as you are, you knew you couldn't let them get the stone. You try to sit up but a shudder racks through your body, pain spiking as blue crystals begin to cover your body.

Your glassy eyes weakly meet Kars' gaze, allowing the Pillar Man to lean down and press a chaste kiss upon your lips, followed by Esidisi placing one against the tribal sun on your forehead and Santana and Wammu upon your cheeks.

"You did good, [Y/n]," Kars admits, "but the time has come for you to slumber."

"Rest well, [Y/n]," Wammu mutters before letting go of your hand.

"Santana will watch over you," Esidisi says as he lifts you from Kars' lap and into Santana's awaiting arms.

Santana brings you inside the temple and into a room where the sun couldn't reach you. The remaining solar energy within your body only leaves a mild burn across Santana's skin, so the Pillar Man is left unbothered as he sits down with you cradled against his chest.

As more crystals begin to form, Santana runs a hand through your hair, the gesture intimate and soothing.

With lidded eyes, you look at Santana as he moves his hand to gently cup your face.
