The way air felt crisp and chilly as it blew against your face was one of Korra's favourite parts of fall. The other of course would be the way the local wildlife turned to browns and golds, illuminating in the warm rays of the sun.

It was like a fire that would never hurt, never burn. Sometimes, she wished it would remain this way forever. She wanted nothing more to lay among the leaves and be covered in a blanket as she eternally slept.

That was not what Fate would let her do unfortunately.

Instead, she was awake before dawn at home in her brisk bedroom, drawing under a warm desk light on a leather bound book, filled with sketches of her deepest thoughts, memories and feelings, something far more valuable than anything she had.

If one would ask, she might call the book her heart. Upon hearing footsteps heading in her room she gently closed her book with a sigh, spinning her chair around and turning her attention to the male adult at her door.

"Good morning, Uncle," Korra greeted him while Toshinori smiled warmly at her.

"It's a bit too early to be saying that, don't you think?" He glanced at the clock hanging on the wall, informing them that it was four am. "Did you get any sleep?"
