"I'm sorry about your arm, Gem," said Regulus, sitting on the end of Gemma's hospital bed, while they waited for Madam Pomfrey to return from nursing Mark Bremmer's copious amount of bruises.

"Better my arm than your head," said Gemma, grinning slightly. "That's what he was aiming for."

"Thanks for taking one for our team, then," Regulus laughed.  He thought for a moment, then frowned. "Sirius almost got you a few times." He folded his arms. "I wonder what his deal was, he went in on you today."

"He was glaring at me after the game." Gemma shrugged. "And Bremmer and Thomas both made some stupid comments that probably got him going, too."

Sirius and James had talked a big game before the match, some snarky comments were made, and then he lost.  That was the reason he was so mad.  There wasn't anything else.  Gemma knew for certain.  James had been mad at her after she acted like there was something seriously wrong after he saved her from falling to death, and Sirius was just mad that he had tried so hard to win and still lost.  That was the reason, and she was keen on believing it.

Madam Pomfrey returned from Bremmer to tend to Gemma.  It took one wave of Pomfrey's wand, and a loud and painful Crack!  in Gemma's arm to fix it up.  As for her vocal cords, Pomfrey only healed the bruise that had developed along her neck, and suggested that Gemma refrain from shouting for a couple of days.  And with that all said and done, Gemma and Regulus were on their way to celebrate their win in the Slytherin common room.

Gemma didn't exactly listen to the 'don't scream' rule that Madam Pomfrey had set for her that night.  The common room's music was blaring so loud that she often had to shout for anyone to hear her.  She and Regulus spent most of the night together, though he did branch off at one point to hang out with Amelie, while Gemma hung back to dance with Thomas Merrit.  He twirled her around to Bowie and The Beatles, while she giggled giddily and sang along to each and every word.  She caught Raymond's eye from across the way, and he mouthed, "'Cute, but no' my ass."

Gemma laughed again, and turned her focus back to Thomas, who was smiling handsomely down at her.

"I'm impressed that you know every single song that's been played tonight," he teased.

"I consider it a crime to not know this generations entire musical discography," Gemma giggled. "I have almost all these artists on vinyl."

"I am seriously lacking in the musical department," said Thomas, chuckling. "Maybe you could show me all your music sometime?"

Gemma smiled sweetly.

"Yeah, that'd be fun," she said.

"It's a date then," said Thomas, making Gemma blush.  Suddenly, someone called out his name from in the crowds.  He whipped his head around trying to locate the voice, and when he did, he looked back to Gemma. "That'd be Bremmer trying to get me to join a ravishing game of Vertiserum or Dare." He grinned. "Care to join?"

Gemma opened her mouth to say yes, but before she could, she caught Amelie's eye from across the room.  She had a giddy look on her face, and was motioning for Gemma to come over to her.

"I'll take a rain check on that," she said, looking to Thomas again. "My services are needed elsewhere."

"Alright then." Thomas grinned, then leaned down, and pressed his lips to Gemma's cheek. "Bye King."

He left, leaving Gemma with a dreamy smile on her face.  She ran over to Amelie, and they both had a mini-squealing session.

"Reg?" asked Gemma giddily.
