Sorry for updating it late, cause I was having my semester exams and my office works were also quite a lot... Also, this will be the last OS as of now cause I want to focus on writing full and proper fanfic on them... I'll post the first chapter soon, do give it a try.
Let's get into the OS
Avni just finished her class and was waiting for Riya...One of her classmates informed Avni that Riya is in the cafeteria along with the guys. So she heads over there to meet them... As she enters the Cafeteria she decides to grab a coffee as she was tired after her class and also she was a little hungry. She goes towards the counter and orders a cup of coffee and waits to receive her order. She spots Riya and the guys sitting in one fine corner of the room. She receives her order and moves towards them with a smile on her face. As soon as nears them she heard their talk...
Ali: V...Vo...Vo Nei...Neil...
DD: Neil met with an accident a few days back and is in Coma.
All of them heard the sound of glass breaking and turned to see a horrifying sight... Avni dropped the coffee glass from her hand hearing Neil's condition and she takes slow steps towards the table where Ali, Vidyut, DD, and Riya were sitting. Tears made their way down from her eyes. Her feet felt numb to move. Riya who was near held Avni before she could fall to the ground. Riya made Avni sit on the chair near hers and looked at the emotionless Avni.
Avni: (Looking at DD) K...Kya hua?
DD: Neil has liked you for many years and vo tumhe propose karne ka soch raha tha and for that, he used to work part-time... Vo uske kudh ke kamaye huye paison se tumhare liye surprise ready karna chahtha tha...Uss din jab vo apne part-time se vapas aa raha tha tab (he choked)
Vidyut: Usne ek old lady ko road cross karte hue dekha aur unki opposite direction mai ek truck bahut tezz se aa rahi thi... To save that old lady, Neil ne unko push kiya but jab tak vo vaha se hatpaya it was too late...
"That truck hit him" Ali completed it... Riya had tears in her eyes by now.
Avni: Mujhe Neil se milna hai ( she said more or less a whisper)
Vidyut agreed and went to start his car so they can leave for the hospital...Riya held a heartbroken Avni by her shoulders and Ali carried their belongings. They all sat in the car, Vidyut in the driver's seat, DD in the passenger seat Avni, Ali, and Riya in the backseat... Avni didn't speak since the moment they sat in the car...Her eyes showed pain but they didn't have tears... She kept looking at the outside world, The only thing that was running in her mind is Neil. They arrived at the hospital, Vidyut went to park the car Ali and DD lead Riya and Avni towards the room where Neil was admitted. Avni's heart was racing she took tiny steps as they neared his ward. Ali and DD walked inside the room and asked the nurse how Neil doing now...Giving the details about his condition the nurse stepped out of the room...
Avni just entered the room and saw a pale figure lying there with one of his legs hanging in the air with the support of a rod, his left hand connected to saline, and few tubes attached to his right-hand fingers. His head a white gauze bandage tied to his hiding his forehead and his eyes closed. Avni looked at him with a small soft smile on her face and said " You look so good when you are silent and sleeping."
She leaned on and placed a soft kiss on the bandage above his forehead and traced his face slowly. She sat on the chair place near his bed and held his hand carefully. Ali, Riya, DD, and Vidyut exited the room giving some private time to Avni and Neil.
Avni: Paagal itna sab karne ki kya zaarurat thi... sirf ek I Love You hi kaafi tha... Tumhe pata hai maine tumhe kitna miss kiya...Roz tumhaare liye library mai wait karti thi ( she chuckles remembering how she used to wait for him)Neil mujhe bahut kuch bolna hai tumse aur tumhe bhi toh Mujhe I Love You bolna hai... jaldi se uth jaao pls... Iss Avni ko zyada der wait mat karao.( She said looking at him with tears flowing down her eyes)
