Chapter 2

Christopher King's POV:

The day I met my Lily was like any other normal day in my life. There was no strong wind or no floral scent or no rain or no thunder or lightning or no natural calamities like how people describe when they meet their soulmate. It was just any other normal day, nice and sunny. I was going to attend a meeting with a client and so, I went into my car thinking about all the ways to close the deal that day.

"Ahhh this traffic" I thought to myself as if this traffic couldn't kill a normal human being like me, this client I am going to meet is perhaps a nature lover as he arranged to meet me at this cave. Who in their right mind does that?

Anyway, I should just go and get this done. With that in mind, I went on driving to the destination. I reached the entrance of what seemed to be a forest and got down my car as there was no way in hell my car's going down that path.

As soon as I got down, something directly from the sky fell on the top of my head. "What the hell...." saying that, I put my palm on the top of my head to check what has fallen. "Why is it so muggy?" I saw my palm that was on my head a few moments ago and saw a white sticky substance. Bulekkkk *gags* what's this?

I smelled the palm and oh dear Elizabeth it was so disgusting and only then I realized that I got bird shit on the top of my head. I groomed myself nice and clean just to get myself shit on by a bird? Seriously? But still let's not demotivate ourselves because of some shit. I'm much stronger than some shit. Come on Chris you can do it.....

I cleaned the shit on my head and took the file and went on my way. I called the client wanting to ask for the directions. "Hello yea... I just need the directions Mr. Jones...... Umhmm....... Well I'm at this place where there are a lot of trees?...... There's nothing here other than trees that I could point out to you......... Hellooo... Hellooooo" Call got disconnected.

I tried calling again but, no signals. Mr. Jones is asking for Landmarks in this forest? Seriously? Uffffff let me find my own way before I get shit on by a bird again. I started walking to God knows where. I walked and walked until I could still see few more trees.

I should have insisted on meeting him in some restaurant. Ahhhhhh how long have I been walking? Where is this cave he was talking about? I walked and walked until my legs gave up. I leaned against a tree and tried to call Mr.Jones again but, no luck.

Haaaaaaaaa what am I going to do if I get lost in this forest. I was looking around and suddenly a thing flew right in front of me and took the file I was carrying away. I got scared for a few moments not knowing what that thing was. It was very hard to register what that thing was because it was super fast.

Oh my God what the hell was that? I looked in the direction that thing flew and saw a long brown tail. Tail? Yes it's definitely a tail. I walked in that direction and saw a monkey holding my file. What in the UFO is happening?

The monkey was sitting on the leafy ground and inspecting the file. It started biting the file and licking it. "Noooo nooo don't lick it" I shouted and it looked my way. I wanted to save my file from it and so, I slowly started approaching it and it saw me moving and started showing its teeth towards me and I knew what it meant. It meant 'don't you dare mess with me you human' and I stepped away.

I stood at a distance and observed its actions. It was very interested in my file and so it didn't pay attention to me. "Hey... hey... you monkey give me the file" I said putting my hand forward and it didn't respond.

"Ohoiiii eyyy eyyy here here..... give me my file" I said once again and now it looked at me.

I felt that it was looking down on me as it did see me but went back to inspecting my file. What???? a mere monkey looking down on me? I cannot take this insult. I somehow have to get back my file.

"Use your brain Chris, use your brain" Ahhhhhh what to do.....?Oh yesss I can sneak and take away my file like it did to me. "Okkkk monkey be ready to taste your own medicine" I laughed evilly, though it might not have seemed evil, more like a normal laugh as I'm handsome, not your usual HAHAHA evil laugh.

I cautiously walked towards it and picked up a stick. "Okay Chris you got this" saying that I very slowly walked towards it. All of a sudden it looked at me and here I was in an awkward position. I wasn't completely standing straight or bending down and now my knees hurt.

I awkwardly laughed at it and it started rubbing its palms over its head with the file in its mouth and started talking monkey-en (language of monkeys) "Yii yiii yiiii yiiiiii" It said and prepared itself to jump on me if I go any near.

"Okay okay wait wait. We are all friends here let's not fight hehehe" I said putting my hands in front of me trying to calm it. It still didn't calm down and was still going on with its yi yiyiiii. What should I do?

I got tired, thinking what to do with this monkey. I sat at a certain distance away from it and kept looking at it. It wasn't moving or moving its eyes away from the file. At this point I was very tired and just wanted to get my file and go home. F**k the deal.

I noticed that the monkey was looking at me and knew that it was up to something. Don't ask me how I knew but, I just knew. "Hey..... give me back my file. I can get you arrested for stealing my stuff" I said and it was still looking at me.

All of a sudden it stood up and started running with my file. "Eyyyyyy wait wait where are you going?" shouting I stood up and ran after it. It's going crazy fast and it was very hard for me to catch up with it.

It suddenly jumped on to a tree and going from tree to tree. I started running and suddenly found myself in a deep pit. "Arghhhhhhhhhh what's happening to me today?" The pit is so deep that all I could see was soil 360o around me.

I saw the monkey above the pit on the branch of a tree shadowing the pit. It looked down at me and somehow I felt that it was smiling at me. "You wait. I'll show you what I am" I said challenging it.

"Yi yi yi yi" it said and I felt the blood inside body boiling. I satrted climbing the mud pit to get back to the surface. At first, I went to the other end of the pit and ran towards one of the mud wall. My initial idea was to run at my full speed and run myself to the surface like a kungfu master but who knew that I would hit my face to the mud boundary and fall on my back.

"Ahhhh my back" It hurt very badly. I tried and tried and at last I crawled on the mud wall like a reptile. I was heaving when I got back to the surface. "Ufff uffff haaaa haaaa, you better uffff save uffff yourself from me monkey" I said still breathing hard. My clothes were all dirty at this point.

The monkey didn't give me any time to relax and it started running to demon knows where. I ran after it and was not paying attention to where I was being led into. "Hey you cruel thing what do you want from me?" I shouted and yet it didn't pay any attention to me.

It stopped again on a tree and I wondered why. "Hey hey.... give me back my file" I shouted and it started showing its teeth. What the hell is wrong with this day?
