Jimin's POV

"Hey, hey! What are you doing, huh?! Leave it alone!"

Chitter and chatters heard here and there despite the number of people walking about in the streets. My attention on the blue sky filled with touches of pink, red and purple broke when I heard the familiar feminine voice yelling in the evening. I turned my head to be met with the blonde jogging towards 2 boys, probably between 10 to 12 years old as to their height and behaviour.

The two boys upon seeing Rosé, flinched and dashed away, like cats dashing away upon seeing dogs, muttering incoherent words to each other. Rosé hmphed, putting her hands on her hips as she frowned at the 2 boys.

"They never understand..."

My eyebrows raised when she uttered out. Rosé sighed, crouching down as her hand slowly rubbed against the belly of the white fluffy ball on the ground. I slowly walked towards both; her and the white kitten which was meowing at the affection it was receiving. Rosé giggled, filling it in the air while seeing the kitten being pleased.

"What will they never understand?" I asked. Rosé turned to face me, jumping a little. She smiled. "I didn't see you there," She muttered with a small laugh. I crouched opposite her, my eyes staring at the kitten. She likes cats. I was noting it down for no reason.

"They will never understand that animals are also part of life. I mean 10% of the world might understand it but I don't know. I never seen anyone stopping any pathetic person who is abusing animals. Let it be domestic or wild, both are still lives." I nodded.

The kitten continued meowing before it awoke, rubbing itself against Rosé and mine before it scurried away. Rosé giggled. "Cute." I looked over at her and smiled, "Sure is cute." She turned and faced me, a brow raised before she broke off into a small giggle.

"What?"

She continued giggling. "Nothing." I squinted my eyes before I sighed. "You need help." She laughed louder as I judged her, wondering if she was really good.

"You know, let's go before you attract attention for losing your sanity." I grabbed her hand, pulling her towards our designed destination. "Hey, hey. I am Rosé, everyone loves me." I scoffed at her remark. " 'Everyone' my ass." I rolled my eyes as she gasped.

"Hey, that's facts! I don't care about your dumb opinion."

"Whatever." I playfully rolled my eyes.

With my hand still on hers, I dragged her through a dark alley and later got out to the street. There were no vehicles in sight as it was the street that was usually deserted according to Rosé. Only a few walked, some for their daily walks while some for work purposes.

"Let's go!"

I was caught off guard when Rosé suddenly pulled me and took the lead, leading me. I followed her from behind, not noticing our linked hands still.

"Geez calm down, I'm gonna fall if you continue to drag me like that." I loud said but she turned a deaf ear towards my saying. "Hey, don't ignore my words!"

"Sorry not sorry I didn't hear you well. Louder, dumbass."

I hmphed and just let her drag me. My eyes were still glued on the ground as I carefully stepped as to avoid falling.

-

Rosé's giggles yet again filled the air as she exchanged her money in the money exchanger for her tokens. I stood beside her, exchanging my own. A hand in my pocket as I eyed Rosé from the side.

She was eargerly collecting the tokens one by one and rushed towards one of the booths. I ambled behind her to another station but Rosé pulled me by the hem of my shirt and pushed me onto a seat. She sat beside me as she inserted a token in the machine. "You're playing race car with me. Also an advice, don't be a baby if you lose, okay?"

I sat properly and raised a brow before a smirk found its way tugging on my lips. "How about you take your own advice? Racing is in my blood."

She side eyed me with a bloodcurdling look and pulled the gear lever to start the engine of the car on her screen. Her look didn't need to explain me any further as I knew she meant 'oh, the game is on'. I did the same to my car but instead, I stepped on the clutch to emit the sound of a car ready to drive.

With our eyes staring at the screen with the numbers counting down, we waited for that gunshot to be shot through the speaker to be begin racing.

Beep!

Without any second to waste, I pulled the gear and moved. Rosé took the lead and I was just behind her, very close. I stepped on the accelerator and accelerated to the front, dominating the route with Rosé behind me.

"Hey!" She exclaimed. I smirked and steered when I reached a part of the route. "Are you worried that you're losing?" I teased, leaning towards her and eyeing her. Rosé eyed me for a millisecond before she faced the screen.

"Why would I be worried when I am the one now taking the lead and you're falling behind?"

"What?!" I faced my own screen and notice the distance between hers and my cart. Shit, I'm losing! I pressed on the gas pedal and accelerated then and tried to catch up with Rosé but just as I neared her cart, it stopped and her character began jumping about.

"Idiot." She muttered. She got up from her seat and began to amble to another booth. "I was just going easy on ya!" I yelled. "Yeah right, as if!" She yelled back. I snorted and got up from my seat and sauntered around, looking for another booth to play on. I could hear the inserting of a coin and sounds from the machine Rosé is on; Basketball.

I walked passed her booth and walked towards the claw machine. I still remember the amount of remarks it received from all the users. Scam, cheat, money stealer, fake claw and all such things. I don't know why but I'm good at claw machines. Yes, there would be times the claw would suddenly let go of the plushie I clawed but still, it was not that much. I remember going to the claw machine every year when I was in the US clawing plushies for my junior, Huening Kai's, birthday as I know he is such a sucker for plushies.

Inserting a token, I groped onto the controller and began to move the claw to the certain plushie in the center of the box. Adjusting the position of the claw, I inspected if there were any mistakes in the position. Seeing none, I finally pushed the red button and stared at the claw moving with my eyes glued.

"You're playing that?" I flinched when Rosé's voice suddenly spoke up and when she leaned beside me. I nodded and waited for that plushie to drop in the hole but midway in the air, the claw suddenly let go. I sighed with Rosé shaking her head, "It's such a scam, for real." She said and proceeded to the claw machine opposite me. "It's not a scam." I uttered. "Not a scam? Are you serious? It literally drops midway." She glanced at me. I shrugged and stood beside her and checked the plushies in. "It's just.. lack of focus. Watch me get one."

"Then get that one, near the corner. That blue bear."

"Okay. That's easy."

I inserted a token and proceeded to move the claw to be placed on top of my target. After correcting the position, I pushed the button and eagerly waited for the claw to claw the bear.

"I bet it will drop." Rosé jinxed as I gave a her a done side eye. "Don't jinx it!" She rolled her and threw her hands in the air, "What? That's actually the outc-"

Tok!

The bear dropped through the hole and landed. A victorious smile tugged on my lips as I quickly grasped it.

"Here for you," I passed the bear to her as Rosé scoffed. "It's just good luck is on your side now." She took the bear and walked away. I smiled, shaking my head as I followed behind.
