It started little by little, and Dick was everything but not prepared for the final result. He wanted to stay blind, to believe that it is just his mind playing games with him. Just another cruel thought his mind cooked up from his fears and doubts.

But that is not what happend.

He has seen what love looks like. The beautiful emerald green eyes lovingly staring into his baby blue ones, clueless to the spark behind them. Dick could always feel the love sparkling inside his lover's eyes and he loved it. He loved the fact that these eyes could not hide anything from his.

But does he now?

It took one mission to get everything from him. It took one mission to drive him away from him. It took just one cursed mission.

Dick has seen loves beauty when it's alive. Electricity running down through his body in waves with the slightest touch the ginger gave him. The million kisses still tracing his memory and skin. Body againds body dancing a sinful dance of love and lust. Dick was roaming in loves paradise.

But there's no love now.

Sitting here in their apartment, the two of them facing each other. Truths and secrets spoken into the silence. Seconds running so slow, that it feels like eternity and yet, Wally won't look into Dick's eyes as he speaks.

His voice is steady and for once, he is completely serious. His face is void of emotions. The story starts with the mission what happened nearly a year ago. The one when Artemis nearly died. He tells his soon to be ex lover about the mixture of emotions what he felt when she almost drowned when the mission went wrong. It was just the beginning of something more deep, slowly killing what once was.

He tells him about the feelings what were day by day, slowly growing stronger and finally about the times he spent with her together, when Dick thought he was on patrol as Flash, because Barry was handling the twins or when Dick was having night shifts as a police officer.

Once is done, he finally looks into his eyes, showing the truth behind the spoken words and shattering Dicks heart into pieces. Wally puts his hands onto Dicks, as to give him some comfort, but all the acrobat could think of is that his touch is not warm anymore. His hands are cold like the love that died.

His thoughts are running faster than ever and reality is slowly crashing his already fragile mind. Wally took Dicks silence and lack of response as a cue to leave him to absorb all the information he had given.

Slowly, he brings himself closer to Dick and gives him one last goodbye kiss placet on the top of his head and without any other glance leaves.

Dick slowly in his shock realizes what had happened. What once was is not anymore. Wally cheated on him with Artemis, his friend and the person, about what he thought as an older sister. And it was happening for a very long time period too.

He then looks at what Wally placed into his palm, when he was too occupied with his mind. It is small and light. Still too shocked from the events to realize what it is, he slowly looks on it. It's a ring. The one that matched Dicks own. Wally's wedding ring.

And where is Wally? He left. And the symbol of their once blooming love thrown away. Right into Dicks face. The face that is now full of hurt, eyes crying off its pain.

Dick is a witness to loves death. When it happened there was no blood or body, there was nothing left. And Dick was not prepared for the end.
