Christmas came and went, And before she knew it she was back in her office, sitting at her desk deep in thought. She interlocked her fingers and stared down at her desk. She was almost positive something would happen, And she was right. Even if it was temporary, Her life would be switched around chaotically.
Pandora groaned in frustration as she rose to her feet and back into her room. "Clovi." As soon as her little elf's name rolled off her tongue, the small creature appeared in front of her.
"Clovi at Miss Pandora's service. Clovi hopes Miss Pandora enjoyed her Christmas." Pandora smiled at the house-elf.
"Thank you, I enjoyed my Christmas at the Weasleys. I would like you to inform Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore that I have returned safely." Clovi nodded gently with a smile. "And tell Dumbledore to get his old ass into my room, I need to talk to him about something important." Clovi nodded again and with a click of her small frail fingers, disappeared to relay the messages.
She opened the doors to her balcony and stood outside, gripping the banisters tightly as her knuckles turn white underneath her gloves made from Kirin scales. Her gaze stayed fixated at the black lake in the distance until her large bedroom doors creaked open.
She slowly and silently slinked in and smiled at Albus.
"My old ass is here now Pandora." He teased with a smile. "What is it you needed to speak to me about."
Pandora gently shook her head with a smile. "This is going to sound very pathetic and silly on the standards of a Grim-Reaper. But you know that subconscious feeling you get in your gut that tells you that something bad is going to happen? and it's usually right?" Albus nodded understandingly. "I'm practically having that scream at me, It's almost making me nauseous. Don't worry about getting Poppy though, her potions and charms won't be strong enough to affect me."
"Well I can assure you my dear that it is not pathetic on the living standards." He smiled and approached her. But his attention was grabbed to the now sudden third party presence of a Dementor gliding into the room from the open balcony. To this Albus pulled out his wand instinctively but Pandora grabbed his wrist and shoved him behind her protectively.
"Speak your reasoning for entering my chambers Dementor." She snarled out, her red eye glowing threateningly underneath her hair, resulting it to glow similarly to if you put a strong light behind a finger. The dementor's attention snapped to Pandora and he holds his hands out.
Lifting one hand up to reveal a small stone with a familiar pattern carved into it. Pandora visibly relaxed and took the stone from the Dementor. "About time. I was expecting the stone a couple days after I told you to retrieve it."
The dementor bows its head down shamefully. "Apologies, The creatures targeted for defending the stone put up a fight." Pandora sighed and clicked her tongue. Pocketing the rock for now.
"No surprise there, Obviously whatever put them in charge of guarding it was smart enough to put something powerful in charge because of who the stone is linked to. Me." She looked at the Dementor. "Anything else?"
The creature nodded thoughtfully. "Two Grim-reapers have gone back into war. The insect grim-reaper and the bug grim-reaper." Pandora looked at the floor.
"I'm not getting involved this time unless it upsets the balance of everyone's work. Deer already lost his human form due to the previous war, let them battle it out themselves. The rest of us shouldn't have to pick sides and fight each other over their squabbles. Let the others know they shouldn't get involved until it turns detrimental to themselves and their work. That is my final decision and order to them all." The dementor nodded and glided out the balcony door.
"Bug and Insect? Aren't they the same thing?" Minerva questioned just as she entered the room, looking at the dementors fading silhouette with obvious disgust.
"Yes, but it was too many forms for one Grim-Reaper to take on, So Death made the smart decision to split the species between two and label them as twins. But they hate each others guts. They'd be a very powerful duo if they learnt to just work together though. Death forbid they possibly could be more powerful then me." She shrugged and turned to Minerva. "Grim-Reapers aren't fond of staying in each-others territory, it's seen as disrespectful to the Grim-Reaper who owns said territory. And if the intruder refuses to leave it's seen as a challenge. Though if we are in danger and come to another for help, it's common curtesy to help whether we like each other or not. That is why the only death has been Prehistoric. Because He corrupted and ruined him, there was no saving him." Pandora sighed and looked away. Minerva approached and gently put her hands on her shoulders, causing the small reaper to jump and look up at her, her hair shifting to reveal some of her eyes and a small reassuring smile grows on her face.
Albus hummed as he watches them. "Pandora?" He continued talking once the two girls attention snapped at to him. "The Ministry of Magic keeps trying to set up interviews with you. Particularly the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures."
Minerva looked at him in shock. "What? Why?"
"They haven't got enough information about her species." He shrugged with a sad smile. "They didn't tell me much about it though."
Pandora hummed disappointedly and looks at the floor. "Let them know if they want to speak to me directly it'll be in my office with two of my dementors by my side. I don't trust them." Albus smiled and nodded.
"Will do, He probably won't like that." He chuckles.
"My point exactly. He can't expect me, a creature who enjoys making people uncomfortable; terrified or even traumatized, To bow down to every wish he wants merely because I choose to present myself as a humanoid creature." she smiled innocently to Albus as she linked her hands.
He sighed and nodded, a smile tugging at his lips. "Of course my dear." Pandora beamed. "I'll let him know." He turns his heel and walks out.
