The golden sun leaked through my satin curtains as I stretched dragging my hands through my face. 

"Thursday" I moaned. Soon the end of the week 🙄 

"Lord God my father thank you for your grace and mercies which are new each day. Thanks for waking me up th-( I yawned inconveniently) this morning. Let the morning bring me the word of your unfailing love for I entrust my life to you. Aaamen" I said before stretching once more and putting on my flip flops. 

As my mind began to wander, it settled on the fact London's summer has always baffled me. You  just can't win. Winter equals the cold or the flu and summer gives you that deadly parasite, hay fever. I pondered ,further, for a while, rubbing my eye furiously before heading to the bathroom. 

The house was a comfortable quiet. Everyone ,which really just includes my mum and sister, were asleep. Filling the house with low snores.

I sucked in a slow and meaningful breath and took a second to appreciate the serenity of it all. The house smelt of Jamaican Coconut, spices and herbs ,the rest a little bit to hard to distinguish, but overall it smelt homely -like my home - which it was.

After yawning once more, I immediately splashed water on my face because if I didn't I would go back to my room and let my soft sheets devour me ,engulfing every part of my body. The idea was tempting enough, but I proceeded to brushing my teeth. Twice. Cause it's a habit and dried my face with a towel.

I then undressed myself putting my clothes in the laundry basket and turned on the shower waiting for it to heat up as I sat on the toilet seat having my morning wee

..... cause you guys definitely needed to know that...

Meanwhile, Win by Jada Kingdom played softly, as I hummed along, testing the temperature of the water and taking my flip flops off.

I stepped in the shower feeling the warm water hit my brown skin engulfing my every muscle in comforting warmth. Awaking me fully in an instant. I loved showers they've always made me happy and cleansed which was obvious, but I've always felt like showers are more than that. I felt spirituality refreshed too. If that makes sense.

... 

 I lathered my skin in dove soap while thinking about how far I've come. I had sat all my Gcse exams so far, except for one which would be my online Computer Science coding exam and then I would finally be complete free and not to be cocky or anything but coding was fairly a breeze . The fact that after sitting it tomorrow I'd be finally done easily made me smile.

Dj kahled song with Nas, Jay-z and the harmonies -sorry not sorry had began to fade and  'So Faygo everyday' had began to start filling the bathroom with its melodies.

Oooooohhhh trapped in vibe feel like I can't breathe ooooohhhhhh these niggas my son's it ain't hard to see. Striped like a viper I really got snipers they up in the cut and they hit Shit for me.
