So I'm not just going to jump into the story part just yet, and if you want to skip this part when the next one comes out, that's fine! But I highly encourage you to see my personal views of the fnaf fandom.
So, growing up, I went to my grandparents' house for sleepovers sometimes, and my cousin Chris lived there. He had a lot of horror games (mostly 1st person shooter and RPG) and I would play them with him. I was only 10 at the time so I got used to jumpscares faster than some people.
A couple years later, game theory popped up on my YouTube recommended and I saw fnaf and watched it. It was already late 2019, so a lot of kids in my grade had been into fnaf back in 3rd or 4th grade and thought I was weird for being interested in it then. Thankfully I found people that liked fnaf as much as or almost as much as I did, so I'm still doing good.
Around the same time I started getting into gacha life(maybe it was 2018 I don't remember), and I admit I started on the wrong side of gacha but gradually realized I shouldn't do that. How this ties in with fnaf are the Afton family videos on gacha, and I was really into it despite not all of it being 'canon' or 'original.' (also don't hate me for this but in the past I used to ship mangle x springtrap, cc x nightmare freddy and mennard😭). However it was really interesting to see people's perception on the fnaf characters in anime style. Recently this year I got a phone of my own and I am doing tiktok and YouTube gacha fnaf.
Another experience that inspired me to make a fanfiction are the popular animated series and various comics, an example being springtrap and Delilah. If you haven't read it or listened to the dubbed version on YouTube I highly recommend it! It is not set in the fnaf universe, but it is obviously inspired by fnaf and a great story with a good and bad ending.
Basically, to sum it all up, I only recently came into the fnaf fandom and even though I may have played only 2 games, I still watch game theory and understand the lore of it despite watching gacha fnaf and Afton family videos. About a month ago something clicked in my brain saying I should make a fnaf fanfiction, partly to prove that fanfictions don't have to be canon to the games or books and partly just for mine and others' entertainment.
I hope you are looking forward to my fanfiction and I hope you have a great day/night!
