Chapter 1: The New Kid

~Ashton's POV~

I was on my way to Health when one of my friends showed up and told me that we were getting a new student in Health. I was so curious so I sped up towards my Health class and walked in the classroom. It was first Period and of course they introduce us in first period. I looked at the new kid. He had long black hair but not too long, emo kind of look. He wore a black veil brides t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and white and black converse. He looked as if he was an afraid puppy. I took my seat which was right in the front of the classroom and waited for Mr.Synder to introduce the new kid and stop talking to Mr.Frank, our Social Studies teacher. I looked around the room to see that there were a lot of kids missing, probably still on they're way here since I walk to school. I looked at the seat behind me and I was surprised to see that Owen wasnt in class yet, normally he's there before anyone else, he probably woke up late. I thought to myself, then Mr.Synder came into the class room looked around then looked at me and said, "My my if it isnt Ashton why must you always be early to my class?" I responded with, "Because Health is so easy and I can sleep in this class without having to study hard." He laughed a bit and looked around the class room and then behind me. "Where's you're pal Owen? isnt he normally here when you're here?" I looked behind me then back at the teacher. "Thats what I'm worried about, I didnt see him when I was walking to school." He looked outside and, then, back at me I knew he had a job for me. "Since you're the only student who has been able to Ace this class with excellent grades, I want you to take these tests and grade them for me." He handed me a stack of tests with the answer key on top, then walked out the door. I looked at the tests, the first one on top was Owen's. I took my red pen out of my pencil case and started grading the tests. I got an A+ as usual and Owen got an A- but he tried his best and I give him credit for that since he has a Learning disablitiy which he doesnt like talking about. For the record all the other students got B's and lower. The new kid had followed Mr. Synder out of the room and no one came into first peroid for about 10 minutes, probably cause the weather was so poor today day. It was nearly close to a blizzard, but we didnt get a phone call from school saying no school. It takes a while for the buses to get here because we have subs for most of the buses because of a freak accident with a lot of the buses on highway 31. They had a bad collision while going to pick up the kids for school. Heh, suckers.
