Alex's POV:
It's the end of another week an the bell to go home has just rang. I'm walking to my locker with Jimmy and Jackson. It's been nearly two weeks since what happened with Dylan. Due to me not wanting to talk to Dylan, I have kind of had to avoid our friendgroup a little. I've stopped playing basketball at recess and lunch and have started hanging out with Jimmy and his friends. Since he and I had been getting a lot closer due to me confiding in him with.my coming out. I felt as if I could confide in him with the Dylan issue. He understood my side of the story completely and welcomed me into his friendgroup with open arms. The others did to but I'm still getting used to them. With Jimmy's help I was able to tell Jackson about what happened and he told me he had my back. Jackson was big on emotions but I could tell this mean't a lot to him. After arriving at Jackson's and my locker, we say goodbye to Jimmy as his locker is in the other side of the school. I start to pack my bag when I feel a tap on the back kf my shoulder. I turn around and am surprised to see Dylan standing there. I feel my face turn to a dead pan expression. He asks to speak to me after I'm done packing my bag and I just nod. He walks to the side and Jackson comes up to me.
"I'll be waiting around the corner with Jimmy, anything bad happens you just yell and we will come running," He says comfortingly. I smile and nod at him and he walks off. I take my time packing my bag so I can mentally prepare myself for what is about to happen. I chuck my now packed bag over my shoulder and make my way towards Dylan.
"Hey Alex" he says joyfully.
"I'm not going to put on an act Dylan, so spit it out," I sternly say.
"Ok then, look, I'm really sorry about what I did that day," he explains "I wish I could take it all back, I don't know what came over me."
"Nothing came over you Dylan, your just a violent person." I argue.
"Think about it, when you thought i hated you for being gay, your first instinct was to punch Jimmy," I explain.
"Come on Alex, you can't seriously believe that," he pleads.
I shrug.
"Wow, fucking wow, your such a fucking cunt you know that!" He yells.
"What's going on! Alex are you ok," Jackson asks as he and Jimmy come around the corner.
"I'm fine guys, I think it's about time we left," I suggest.
"Oh, so you got little lackies now do you, am I that intimidating," He mocks.
"Dylan, you fucking abused him you dickhead, of course he is gonna be worried and besides, we chose to wait, he didnt ask," Jimmy replys.
"Yeah, you keep choosing to believe that," he chuckles.
"What the fuck did you just say!" Jackson yells.
"Leave it Jackson, he isn't worth our time anymore," I say, holding him back.
The 3 of us walk away. Jimmy and Jackson constantly ask me if i'm ok. I keep telling them that I actually feel 10 times better now that it is completely over. We go out for ice cream after school as a celebration. I don't know if I will ever forgive Dylan for what he has done. Maybe it just needs time or maybe he needs to fully realise how what he did was wrong. Until then though, I have new friends and a new found appreciation for myself.
"Do you want choclate or Vanilla Alex?" I hear Jackson yell.
"Chocolate thanks," I reply.
"Really, I'm more of a vanilla person" Jimmy states.
"Well we all have different opinions" I reply.
