DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN PERCY JACKSON! RICK RIORDAN DOES!
My worst enemy, Jason Grace, was talking to my future wife. This enraged me. Piper and Jason spoke until the bell rang. I caught up with Piper as she headed to English.
"Hey Pipes." I said. But before I could say anything else, she turned to glare.
"Get away from me." She said in a low, dangerous tone. Wow, that girl is tough. But for a daughter of Aphrodite, I would do anything. That son of Jupiter (A/N The gods explained the difference between Roman and Greek. I was lazy) is nothing compared to me. I have NO idea what she sees in him! I mean, everyone with common sense knew they were a couple. But I pretended to be oblivious. (A/N That means he has no common sense. Just pointing that out.) Smart, right? That way Piper would just think that I thought she was single.
"Hey dude!" Jason yelled from somewhere. I turned to glare at him.
"What do you want?" I asked calmly. It was important for me to hide my anger, so that I make a good impression on Piper.
"Wanna study for the greek test? I can help you!" He shouted. He was just trying to show off.
"Fine." I muttered, knowing that Piper would be there.
TIME SKIP
The house address led to a mansion. Apparently, Jason and Piper are part of 7 demigods who save the world. My favorite is Percy Jackson. He saved the world twice! I rang the doorbell, expecting Jason. Instead, a boy with sea-green eyes and rave black hair answered. His smile a troublemaker one, making teachers think he was up to something. I immediately recognized him.
"Percy Jackson!!" I yelled. He looked confused, then nodded.
"Hi. Um... who are you?" He asked. I needed to get him to give me lots of attention. Then I could have Piper and Percy as my best friend.
"I'm your... cousin!" I yelped. This was the best idea I could think of. I love mythomagic, and so I know that Zeus and Hades are brothers of Percy's dad Poseidon. Confusing, I know.
"Mom's side? Because you don't look like Drama Queen or Hades." Percy replied. A rumble of thunder was heard in the distance.
"YES YOU ARE! AND YOU KNOW IT!" Percy yelled back at the thunder. He snorted as the thunder stopped.
"Seaweed brain! Again?" A girl called. She came down, and was instantly the second most gorgeous girl I'd ever seen. Only beat by Piper. She had stormy grey eyes and beautiful golden blonde princess curls. I saw Percy walk up to her.
"Sorry Wise Girl. But he had it coming! And-"
"Seaweed brain. Be quiet." the girl said before kissing him. I guess she's taken. Oh well. Piper is still the most gorgeous. Plus, her eyes are pretty intimidating.
"Sorry 'bout that! This is Annabeth, my wife." Percy said, turning back to me. Annabeth gave me a calculating look and went upstairs.
"Anyways... who's your godly parent? Or your mortal ones?" Percy said. Uh oh. I couldn't really call myself a child of Hades or Zeus. I'm stuck. So I went back to the truth.
"I may or may not have lied..."
"It's fine. Why are you here? Don't hit on any girls in this home, alright? They are all taken." Percy said before inviting me in.
"I'm here to study greek with Jason and Piper." I replied. And to get Piper as my girlfriend. But he didn't need to know that. He raised an eyebrow before ushering me up. On the way, I noticed a wall. A wall of names. I came up closer and read it.
WALL OF THE DECEASED
Luke Castellan
Zoe Nightshade
Ethan Nakamura
Silena Beauregard
Charles Beckendorf
Bianca Di Angelo
Leo Valdez (Maybe not?...)
Michael Yew
Lee Fletcher
Hunters of Artemis
Amazons
(A/N I HAD TO!! Also, the note next to Leo's plaque is not an A/N)
Since I have no idea who those people are, I just left the wall. I went up a few more flights of stairs before I reached Jason and Piper's floor. I entered Jason's room and was in a slight shock. The wall were a constant moving sky with clouds. The ceiling seemed to reflect the literal weather and his bed had shades of white and blue. It was an amazing sight. But Piper's side of the room was very different. (A/N I gave each couple a room to share with their significant other... or significant annoyance in Nico's case.) It had a little vanity set that had a little note that said 'Love, Mom'. It looked untouched. In fact, the ribbon was still on the mirror. Anyways, her bed was a pinkish cerulean hue. It was beautiful, to sum it up. They were both at Jason's white cloud-like desk. Everything was blue. They were kissing. Soon that would be me. I cleared my throat and the two jumped off. Cute, I guess. Jason smiled sheepishly and Piper went to her side of the room and picked up a book in a strange language.
"Hey Jason! Ready to study?" I asked carefully. No need to reveal my feelings by my tone to Jason. Jason grinned again and nodded before picking up a blue notebook. A perfect shade of the sky.
"Here are my notes. So what do you wanna do?" Jason said. I just took his notebook and handed him mine. As we reviewed, my mind wandered to the wall I saw earlier. Who were those people?
"Jason?"
"Yeah?" Jason responded, looking up at me.
"Who were the people on the wall of the deceased?" I asked.
His face seemed to dim. The ceiling seemed to get stormier and the atmosphere dampened. Uh oh. I hit a sore spot. I looked at Piper and saw her frowning, tears threatening to leak.
"Well... we didn't really know to many of the people on that wall. Most of them only Percy and Annabeth met. But they were all good people. Leo was the one we knew. He was a hero. He sacrificed himself to defeat Gaea." He said solemnly. Piper nodded, a tear tracing from her beautiful kaleidoscope eyes.
"Oh... I'm sorry that I asked." I said. Piper started to sob slightly. Jason walked over to her and they hugged for a bit. Maybe they were a perfect couple. Not me. I stared in grief for their friend.
"I should go home now. Bye Jason. Bye Piper." I said. They nodded and went back to hugging. Downstairs, Percy seemed to notice my regret and slight shame.
"What's wrong?" Percy said.
"The wall of the deceased." I answered. I looked him in the eye and saw the sea-green becoming a small hurricane. There was a slight tremor beginning. Then it stopped. Percy's eyes became calm again. They just looked like they were grieving.
"All of them... they all sacrificed themselves. Luke to defeat Kronos. Silena to redeem herself. Beckendorf to destroy the enemy ship. Zoe to defeat her father and save Artemis. Ethan to have everyone claimed, with no one left out. Bianca..." Percy trailed off, tears streaking down his face. He wiped them off and smiled to me, grief-stricken and miserable.
"It's... fine. Bye." he said. I nodded and walked to my house. What a sad history. All for us mortals.
