Luna

Anyone can easily get carried away by the songs I sings, the lyrics tell the truth they can't tell using their mouths. But him? He ain't even paying attention. He's sitting at the far right corner of the bar, wearing a faded green shirt with a worn out black jacket. I don't know who he is, but I want to know. Really.

"Lunes!" my Co-singer Jake calls.

"Yeah! Sup?" I reply. He looks to his right then left Like he thinks Someone might be spying.
"I saw that green shirt guy, he wasn't paying attention to the songs u sang but, he was staring at you when u got off stage." he informs. I'm taken back by the statement.

Was the faded guy really looking at me?

"hmm, people look and stare at me everyday, Jackie. Nothing's new bout that." I explain.

He sits up from where he was sitting and drags his drunk self toward me. " No, I mean like yes they do. But he looked angry when you started performing and made a 'huff' like sound And stared at the wall"

OK. So, that IS weird.

"Maybe he is a HUGE fan of Linda and doesnt like me because she was replaced with me" I say.

Linda was a great singer but she was rude. Like, REALLY RUDE. Other than that, she was a drinking machine when it came to drinking and she even tried to..... Nevemind, I can't tell. Or it might be a sin. Back biting is forbidden for a Christian like me.

Jake hums in response. And I drink my last shot before gating my coat and heading home.

Home? No I call it CERES. It's just like the dwarf planet which is inside the solar system, but is still ignored. Just like this house, a black painted house in a row of red brick houses.

I hum a familiar melody as I feel the cold water traveling down my spine. It feels so refreshing. Showering with cold water in winter is my favorite thing to do.
I wrap a towel around my body as I hear my phone ringing. I quickly grab it from the night stand and press accept.

"Hello? This is DR. Luna lavender" I introduce my professional self to the caller.

"HI, This is Ryan Johnson. I'd like to have an appointment for my daughter. I've heard you see patients at their houses." the guy speaks.

"Yes sir, I do. Just text me your address and I'll come by tomorrow in the afternoon" I respond and he cuts the call.

No good byes? No Good nights? Do I care? Nah!
