Untamable

Chapter 2

Eren placed the last article of clothing in his bag before leaving his room. His first trip to see the other branches of the scouting legion, and seeing Commander Erwin! And Eren would get to see his friends from the 104th Cadet corp as well. I wonder how Armin and Mikasa are doing right now. He really missed them. It feels like it's been so long since he'd seen Armin and Mikasa. They'd worked hard and made it to the scouts together, but it was no guarantee that they would be assigned to the same squad.

The only reason Eren is still alive is because he can transform into a titan, and because Armin and Mikasa have always protected him. I have to get stronger. I have to, so I can protect my friends. Then I'll be able to destroy all of the Titans. Eren began walking at a steady pace as he thought. Now that I've joined the scouts, so many people are going to be putting their lives on the line for me. I have to protect them too. I'll save everyone and defeat all of the Titans.(A/N:Yes I am aware I put that twice. It was on purpose). Eren glanced out the window and saw Levi Heichou waiting by the horses. He then remembered why he was packing in the first place and began sprinting down the hall as fast as he could. Shit! Shit! Shit, I'm late, Heichou is going to be pissed! He won't punish me right? What if he leaves without me?! Eren's thoughts were racing through his head as his feet were running down the stairs and halls of the old castle.

Soon Eren arrived at the stables to be met with a very angry Levi.

"What have I told you about tardiness Jaeger," Levi asked with a sneer. Eren saluted in response even though he was clearly winded.

"I-I'm sorry Heichou. As I finished packing I lost track of time." Eren responded, panting.

"Yes, I can see that. You should've been here at least 5 minutes ago. If you came any later I would've left without you."

"Ah...T-thank you for waiting for me Heicou! I'm sorry for my tardiness and I will make up for it in any way I can." Levi snatched Eren's bag away and latched it the saddle of the Horse Eren would be riding.

"Tch, don't bother. As long as you start arriving at your appointments on time, that's good enough. Now get on your horse, we've wasted enough time here already." Levi gets on his horse and motions for Eren to do the same. Once Eren was secure they both whipped the reins of the horses and started off at a full gallop.

"Eren, while we're riding I want you to stay within 10 feet of me at all times. Once we arrive you are to stay with me until we meet up with Erwin. After that you're free to visit your friends in the 104th cadet corps, that's what you wanted right?"

"A-ah, y-yes sir! Thank yo-"

"However, you can only stay there if you are under the supervision of other squad leaders. You can't go anywhere else, if you do I'll kill you." Eren swallows his nerves before responding. This may just be a simple meeting but Eren has to remember that he doesn't have the freedom to roam about like normal.

"I understand, Heichou."

"Good, then let's go."

After their conversation, Eren and Levi continued to ride in silence until they reached an inn where they would be staying. The both unloaded their belongings and took them to a single room they would be sharing. Levi took the bed while Eren would be sleeping on a couch in the room near the bed.

"U-uhm Heichou, why are we sleeping in the same room," Eren asked.

"Simple. My job is to supervise you all hours of every day. If you were in a different room then I wouldn't be able to do my job now would I?" Levi replied to eren with a sharp tone.

"I-I suppose that makes sense."

"Good. Besides, you've slept in the same room as other people before haven't you?"
