Mae and I were still watching movies when she received a text, she read over it and smiled. She didn't say anything at all, she just got up and and ran upstairs, she's weird sometimes, but that's what Ross and I love about her.
I continued watching the movie and shoving a few more pieces of popcorn into my mouth when the TV suddenly went black, at first I thought it was a black out.
But then Mae, stepped infront of me.
"Get up Laura, we need to do something. No questions asked, got it?" She was using her stern voice, NEVER go against her when she uses that voice, she can be very dangerous.
I'm shaking, I'm kidding.
I got up as I didn't want to be disrespectful, she took my hand into hers and dragged me from the couch and up the stairs. She then shoved me into the bathroom, there was a towel, my shower slippers and a night robe, she wants me to shower?
Like she said, I asked nothing. I stripped down and stepped into the rosten hot shower, and let the hot water ease the tension in my shoulders that I didn't know I even had.
I used my favourite apple shampoo, double rinsed.
As I finished, I stepped out of the shower and put the night robe on, throwing my hair so I could put it into the towel, I then slipped my shower slippers on and stepped out of the bathroom after I switched the shower off.
I walked into my room to find Mae waiting for me on my bed, she was patiently waiting for me to come over.
She then shoved a black glitter dress into my hands and shoved me into my walk in cupboard, which also has a small dressing area.
I noticed once I put the dress on, it went just below my thighs, so it wasn't to low or high.
I stepped out and Mae seen me instantly. She gasped when she saw me.
"I hope that was a good thing" I laugh a little, she comes over to me, taking my hands into hers and set me down on the chair infront of my dressing table.
"Close your eyes, and just do it" I gulped and nodded closing my eyes.
I could feel my hair being pulled gently, I brush going through it, the blow drier went on for about 5 mins, then I could feel straighteners and after that the ends of my hair were getting twirled around curlers.
What is she up to?
She then did my make-up, I could feel, messcara, eyeliner and a little bit of eye shadow.
"Open" I open my eyes to look into the mirror to find a girl looking absolutely stunning. Now it was my turn to gasp, to how shocked as I was.
"Mae, you've transformed me. I look...."
"Incredible" I nodded as she was right.
"Mae, what is this all for?" She then smiled at me once more. Her phone went off again, she smiled handed me some wedges.
"Put these on" I sighed knowing I wasn't going to get an answer out of her as to what is going on.
I followed her downstairs, she just kept walking and walking, she then opened the door, to reveal, Rachel, she's our other best friend. She smiled at me and told me to follow her.
As I was led out of this house, I got into the car of which Rachel was driving, Mae came along with us, to wherever we are going.
"Rach-"
"Don't ask me anything. I'm doing this as orders" I was instantly put in my place, I squeezed my lips tight and nodded looking ahead.
I started wondering, why are we heading towards the docks?
I didn't have a clue as to what was happening.
We arrived beside this massive boat, the lights on the boat were lit, literally everywhere on it.
"Just follow the petals, that's all I am aloud to say!" I nodded and stepped out of the car.
When I started walking towards the boat, I found the rose petals, they were real, but what was weird, they were shaped like hearts.
I followed them onto the boat, I could feel the ocean breeze push it's way through my hair.
I continued to follow the petals until I was on the deck off the boat, and what I seen, had me tearing up.
"Hey beautiful" Ross stood up from a table, that was set up for 2, he walked over to me, taking my hands into his.
"You did this? All off this?" He smiled and nodded.
"You got Rachel and Mae into it too?" He chuckled and nodded once more.
"What's this all about Ross?" He looked into my eyes deeply, I could tell he wanted to say something but wasn't sure on how to word it.
"For one thing, this is our anniversary dinner, the pearl wasn't the actual present, that is still to come!" I was shocked, I told him not to, and he still did it. Classic Ross, that's what I love about him.
"I wanted us to have a special but like classic dinner, so I prepared from scratch spaghetti since your Italian with meatballs" I was now tearing up.
"This is magnificent Ross, thank you so much!" He smiled placing me into my seat and gently pushing me under the table.
"Well, I have a few things to say" I could see he was finding it hard to say.
"Take your time Ross" he smiled and took a deep breathe.
"From the first day that I met you, I didn't fall in love lightly, I fell in love hard, really hard. You've made me the man I am today, you've brought the best out of me. I've always thought that it was never possible to find love at such a young age, but, I have. I found you. It's like, what someone wrote on a poem they were writing for someone. It said 'I was searching for treasure, and I found it, as the treasure was you' Your my world Laura, if I had to tell the world that I love you, I would whisper it into your ear as you are my world. You've always been my world, and I couldn't appreciate your more for it. You brighten up my world with your smile, your voice is music to my ears, your moves get my heart beating 20x faster, and I uh, I really want to ask you something, I've been planning to ask you this for a long time actually" I just stared at him in pure shock, he has never said that to me before.
"What is it?" He took another deep breath, he stood up and shoved his hand into his pocket.
He brought out a black velvet box, I forgot to breathe for a split second.
He came over to me and kneeled down infront of me, taking one of my hands into his own.
He opened the box, to reveal the one Diamond of which was so spectacular, I found it hard to believe he actually bought this for me.
"Laura, will you make me the happiest man on earth and Be Mine Forever? "
I went silent for a few seconds, Ross just proposed to me..
"Yes!! Yes, one million times yes!!" I jumped into his arms, both of us, laughing.
I pulled away a little and instantly smashed my lips with his.
I'm gonna marry this dork.
Best anniversary gift a girl could receive.
