"Lucas is gone." King admitted.

"What? How did I not notice! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Cora was furious, and King smiled sheepishly under her glare.

"I didn't want you to be worried about-"

"I'm not worried for him, I'm worried for Pia." Cora explained, in a really unhelpful voice, and King held his hands up in mock submittance,

"Sorry Sweetheart." which made Cora punch his arm.

"Don't you dare."

"Ouch!" He laughed letting her go "You know I'm just joking." But when her glare didn't decrease, said, "Fine, I've learned my lesson. Talk to me."

"When you've been burned, you're more cautious when you go to fire."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Your mind truly has decreased."

"C'mon Pup, you weren't this cold when I left you."

"Well, as you said, you left, and things have changed. Your reputation, at least from my standards, has decreased, as well as your mind. Good day, sir." And she marched off ignoring the chorus of "Cora!"s that followed her.

"Why did he not tell you before?" Pia demanded

"His intentions were in the right spot,"

"You're defending him!"

"Well,"

"Cora! Why are you saying this? You're talking like, like... "

"It's a long story."
"That's why Carlos's been-"

"He's been what?"

"Oh, I don't know. Acting differently?" Pia murmured, instantly wishing that she hadn't talked.

"Acting differently how?" Cora demanded.

"Oh nothing, just hanging out with..."

"With who?" Pia didn't respond. "WITH WHO?" Cora yelled.

"Helena." Pia squeaked.

"That brat." Cora spat and went into a fit of greek.

"Cora, don't we have more pressing matters?" Pia questioned, hinting at Lucas.

"Umm..." Cora thought about this, then decided to go with the safe option having in reality no idea of what her sister was talking about "yes."

"Good. So we need to start training."

Cora grinned. "Let's go."

At the arena, Carlos was being watched by Helena and King, though both for different reasons, and both from different places, when Cora and Pia walked up. "Who are you?" Pia hadn't seen the newcomer before and was curious.

King flashed a grin at her, "I'm King, and you are..."

Before Cora intervened, "She's my sister, and is dating Lucas."

King had a double-take on this, before realizing what Cora was probably mad at him. "Nice to meet you, I still don't know your name."

"You don't need to know her name," Cora said again, crossing her arms and glaring at him.

"Cora, jealousy still doesn't look good on you."

"You little-" Cora started, but before she could get going, Pia interrupted, "Children!"

"Ya Cora, child," King said smugly but didn't expect what came after, she attacked him.

The fight was a blur, whirling and slashing, blocking and parrying, all in the speed of light. Both of them ended up losing, though King probably would have won. Cora ended up with a sword point against her stomach, and King with a dagger point at his throat. Both were in completely different positions than the way they had started. King had Cora in his arms, yet although he had a blade against his throat he seemed to be enjoying how she couldn't get out of the grip except by impaling herself. Both were breathing heavily and waiting for the other to back down, until something interrupted them.
