I paid for the food and followed after him, we needed to stay together just in case something did happen. "Kankuro," I called trying to catch up with him. He didn't even turn his head.
I ended up following him back to the house before he even acknowledged my presence. "You're a real jerk you know that?" I huffed out of breath from trying to catch up to him.
"At least im not you." His tone was harsher than ever before, "you know what? The crazy thing is, you have no problem insulting me. Even after you gave me your food bars, went out before dawn to gather everything we would need for a long journey, you even saved my ass a few times. But you still act like im such a horrible guy. You know that I also have feelings right?" He walked closer to me with a glare on his face, "if I remember correctly, I dragged your ass all the way to a village when it was a mile away and I was about to drop too, I let you drink all of the water in the room without a complaint because I knew it was my fault I almost killed us both, every night I filled the fire with new wood before waking you up." His expression eased a bit, "im doing my best to get this mission done and all you ever want to do is fight with me about every little thing!" He snapped finally.
My blood boiled at how much of a goody-two-shoes he made himself sound, "if I remember correctly you started all this fudeing after I complimented your abilities in battle, if I remember correctly it was you who started it back up every time I let it go." I grabbed the cloth on his chest, "I hate you, Kankuro!" I growled getting worked up, "I hate that stupid outfit you wear, I hate your ridiculous makeup, and those stupid dolls you can't on your back!" I huffed out of breath, "keep going." He crossed his arms over his chest, "I hate that stupid look you have when you eat, and the way your face lights up when we see puppets, and especially the way you won't admit you like food just to argue with me about it! I hate everything about you!" I rushed into the house before slamming my room door.
I sat on my floor regretting most of what I had said to him out there, and I know I just brought a lot of unwanted attention to us.
Most of this was my fault, I didn't know how to keep my mouth shut when I knew I needed to. At that moment I vowed I would do better, I would stop making fights over nothing, I would stop creating unwanted drama when it was unnecessary. I needed to learn the line between playful banter and just being an ass.
I left my room after a good 20 minutes of thinking and cooling off, I had let myself get too angry. I couldn't do that in a real situation, why would it be okay even when it isn't life or death?
I assumed he would be in Kibas old room since Kiba now stayed in the master bedroom, I wonder what happened to mom and Hana...
I gently knocked on the door getting no response so I knocked again but still got nothing. "Kankuro, im sorry alright?" I sat outside the door knowing he probably wouldn't let me in.
"Your right, im an ass... I do need to work on a lot and im going to start as soon as we get out of this whole mess..." I brushed my hair out of my face.
"I don't hate you by the way."
The door fell open making me hit my head on the floor, I gave a sad smile up at him.
"You know, that stupid look you get while working on your puppets is actually kinda cute..." I blushed a bit not wanting to admit that out loud.
"You're stupid you know that?" He rolled his eyes unamused. I laughed a little still laying on the floor, "Yeah, I am."
He offered his hand to help me up from the floor, I gratefully took it. We would have to work together to get out of this mess we wherein.
He still had a pissed look on his face as he stared down at me annoyed. I scratched the back of my neck, "yeah, I deserve that..."
"You're cute when you want to be..." His face was a little red as he leaned in for a kiss.
I was shocked but returned it, something about it just felt right.
His arms wrapped around my east while mine held the sides of his face, it was a perfect moment is never admit I enjoyed.
His hand pulled something from my back pocket making us both pull away.
He held up the stick from before making me gasp, "that's our ticket out of here!" I took It from his grasp quickly, the bright blue color it once held was now a medium blue. I wrapped my arms around his torso before snapping the small cylinder again like I had the first time.
The world went back to normal slowly. when I opened my eyes, I was back in the throne room like before, the sun had been rising. Kankuro sat up right after me, "what happened?" I looked away from him, my cheeks a deep red. "Do you remember anything?" I asked facing away from him.
"Nothing..." He said honestly while scratching the back of his head, "any idea how long I was out?" He asked curiously.
"No idea, I was out with you. No idea what happened." I lied.
Yosuke jumped on me licking my face happily, "how long were we out for boy?" I asked worriedly. He barked his answer making me fall backward.
"2 days?!"
