I finally got out of bed after a long night of waking up every two hours. I guess it doesn't matter much because today is Saturday. No school.
I threw my blankets off of me and slowly got out of bed, seeing my reflection in the mirror I groaned.
"Oh my god. Ew." I said to myself, looking at my smeared makeup and messy hair, which I threw into a bun.
The sun shone through my thin blue curtains onto my hardwood floor, covered in clothes and homework I looked over last night.
"Hi there Mr.Sun." I opened my curtains and squinted, blinded by the light. As my eyes adjusted to the morning light, I saw people walking in and out of the houses around me. It must be later than I thought it was. I checked the clock, 10:42 a.m. I should get breakfast.

By the time I was downstairs it seemed as if dad had gone to work already. He wasn't upstairs and he wasn't downstairs. Just to make sure I peeked in his room, then his office.
I'm home alone. Again.
The last time dad left me home my insane mother came over trying to get me to come home with her, so once dad got home I told him everything. He called mom's parole officer and spoke with her lawyer, she isn't aloud any closer than 2 miles from me.
I walked to the fridge, nothing but leftovers from last night and stuff my dad threw in there last night before I went to bed.
The mail woman was outside stuffing our mailbox with letters. Mostly bills, and a newspaper. I walked outside to say hello, and by the time I made my way out, she was delivering to the next house.
"Lucy!" I yelled, but she just waved.
She must be having a bad day, she always comes and talks to me, she used to be one of dad's best friends in college.

My dad, my mom, and Lucy all shared a dorm together, it's crazy but they managed it. They were all studying law in college and my dad was the only one who got his degree. My mom then became a doctor before I was born, and it turns out she went crazy and stabbed someone during surgery. I usually don't ever think about it because I feel really bad for the guy, Mel, who my mom stabbed. He was getting a bullet taken out of his arm and when the operation was done and my mom had to wake him up, she stabbed him. A nurse found out a few minutes later and he was rushed to the Emergency Wing. I remember I was about 7 when it happened and I drew this picture for Mel, and he didn't take it. Maybe because I looked like my mom.

I grabbed the mail out of the mailbox and shut it. When I opened the door a cool blast of air hit me in the face. I checked the thermostat, it's 20*f cooler inside than it is outside, which really sucks because it's really nice outside. I opened the window next to the door and set the mail down.
Dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, me, dad, newspaper.
I read my letter from the school, which was just telling about the basketball games on Sunday.
I looked at the newspaper and on the cover it said something that made me sink deep down into the couch.
Rachel Greene, Found Missing Saturday Morning
Rachel Mae Greene, 16, was found missing early this Saturday morning at 3:42 am when Mr. and Mrs. Greene heard a big 'crash' and found their daughter missing, her wallet, and the window broken. Story continues page 4

No way, not my Rachel. She probably just ran away. But she would've told me.
I grabbed the home phone and called her, it went straight to voicemail.
"Hey this is Rach," she stopped talking so it sounds like she answered, "I'm not available so leave a message after the beep. Thanks."
I needed to talk to her, and right away, so I left her a quick message.
"Ray, it's me, Callie. You should call me, you're in the newspaper, what's going on?" I paused, "I love you sis. Call me when you get a chance, and please stay as safe as possible." I hung up and sighed.
Time to tell dad.

"She's gone missing?" Dad exclaimed into the phone.
"Read the news paper, Devon and Avery found her missing this morning and a window broken. I'm scared." I spoke on the verge of tears.
"I'll be home at two, until then, just hang tight. Love you Callyssa."
"Love you too dad." I hung up and ran to the door, locked it, shut the window, and ran to the back of the house to lock that one too.
And by the time I got to it, it was wide open and the warm spring breeze was coming into the house.
"Rachel?" I spoke with hope my voice, but a little scared and shaky.

I looked outside to see if she was out there. No sign of anyone or anything but a squirrel.

"Scream and I kill you." Her hand covered my mouth and dragged me into the house.

Rachel... What have you done?
