Outcasted, all alone once again. It shouldn’t be surprising, I’m used to it by now. Oh how I wish I had one person who cared about me. I’m a senior new to Storybrooke High, my name is Emma Swan. I’m an orphan, but I kind of just live on the streets. Most people regard me as a troublesome teen. I happen to think I’m not that bad of a person. I may be an orphan, but that does not make me a criminal.
Tomorrow is my first day at school and I am dreading being outed as the orphan once again. That is definitely not my cup of tea. I just want to shrink into my shell and hide from all the people who are bound to judge me. I stumble around on Main Street until I come across a Library. “Storybrooke Library” the building read. Well why not check it out Emma thought. She walks up to the door and goes to pull on the handle however she stumbles backwards and the door is flung open.
“Hello, may I help you?” The woman who threw the door at Emma asked. “Uh. . . uhm yes, right I’m Emma I just wanted to come in and check the place out. Maybe see if there was any book that would interest me, you know escape from ‘reality.’ I really love reading so I just wanted to see what was offered here.” Emma said with impressive speed.
“Well first off let me introduce myself, I’m Belle, Belle French. As far as finding a book to escape ‘reality’ I can tell you that you will not be at all disappointed at what we have to offer here in Storybrooke. Are you new?” The brunette asked. “Yes, I recently moved here.” The blonde offered back with her head down. “What genre are you looking for? Anything of request or in particular that you are looking for?” The librarian asked trying to gauge the girls’ interest. “Well I’m a sucker for some Sci-fi, Fiction, Poetry, and my most favorite genre persists of adventurous novels.” The blonde replies with a small smile that brings joy to her face but the smile never quite makes it to her eyes where they should be shining.
