From where Hinata sat on a worktop beside Yamaguchi, he shunned the raised brow Shirabu sent his way as he tittered upon seeing the mistakes the other applicants were making. With the hour slowly coming to a close, the entrants hurriedly sort through the seemingly never-ending pile of herbs; mistakenly placing taffy pink clary sage and orchid violet comfrey inside the POISON hamper, erroneously prompting pickle green water hemlock and candy red rosary peas within the HEAL hamper.

His weasel and snake had finished the task he gave to them - casually switching the herbs inside his own hampers using the ether fields without attracting the attention of the testers, and disappearing without a trace when they've achieved their objective. As he watched the tormented mien on his contenders' faces, Hinata felt like he made the right choice by intentionally degrading his work. He did not want all the attention cast upon him, not when the vermillion rhombus-shaped pendant pressed against his chest.

Shedding the thoughts bubbling in his mind, he directed his attention towards the name he currently uses to deflect attention, not like his hair would give him much relief. "Hinata," the ginger whispered to himself, nesciently prying on the link he shares with his Familiars. He whispered the name again and again, trying to make it sound as natural as it used to be as it slipped past his lips. Chuckling from where he hid in his ether field, the snake intervened, "Haven't used that name in six years, Shou-sama. Does it sound that foreign?" The redhead hummed in reply, mouthing the name one more time before Shirabu called for their attention.

"Time's up! Please step away from your tables!" As every participant scurried away, the door burst open and in came a group of Human females wearing a charcoal black kirtle, a chiffon white apron tied around their waists, and a matching white bonnet. They grabbed the hampers and hurriedly bustled back out, retreating as fast as they came. Hinata briefly wondered how they would identify which hampers belonged to who but decided that he didn't care and turned to Shirabu's direction, watching the copper-haired male conversed with the newcomer. He inspected the latter with a curious glimmer in his eyes, scrutinizing his olive green eyes, beige skin, and muscular build. From the back of his mind, a voice screamed at him, telling him to be wary of this man, that this Human is more minacious than Ushijima.

Green eyes. Spiky hair. Brawn physique. Tilting his head to the side and closing his eyes, Hinata swam to the deepest parts of his memory, shuffling through anything and everything he could recall. The Captain of Karasu Kingdom's Human Guard has eyes that could rival the color of an Orc's skin. Opening his eyes, the ginger forced himself to calm his beating heart, his hand reaching for the flint and steel in his pocket.

Smiling thinly, the tangerine called for his Familiars, "If my identity is revealed now, will I leave alive?" He did not comment on the amused huff Sakusa let out from where he hid, "You would if you use his powers." The weasel answered before adding, "But although a secret well hidden, a few high ranking Humans would be able to recognize the magic, which would lead to war, and that would most certainly fount rancor to the Council - who as we speak, still disapprove of you. Aside from Matsukawa-san, at least." The snake hissed but Hinata couldn't make out if he was agreeing with the weasel or not.

Wondering why the Captain would be present for the testing, Hinata wiped the smile off his face and turned to Yamaguchi, nodding towards their examiners. "Is that Iwaizumi Hajime? The sparring mentor of the Heir?" Turning to look at the object of their conversation, the greenet nodded his head. "From what I heard, he's an Abilio Gold Harbinger. Fire, water, earth, and air summoner. Wields a falchion forged from Savitr Ores." Grumbling to himself as he made a mental note to inspect the Ore deposits around the area, the redhead eyed the sword-wielder once more before diverting the topic, only to be interrupted as Ushijima's booming voice compelled them to leave the room. Being directed out, Hinata and Yamaguchi huddled towards the middle of the group, narrowly avoiding the man that had insulted their race and tribe.
