Chapter 9:Serah

I feel Elijah's, suprisingly soft, hand on my back and hear many gasps and Elijah's sharp intake of breath. "What? What is it?" I say, suprised at myself at how nervous my voice sounded.

"You have Elijah's marks and when he touched them they starting glowing! They're silver!" I hear Iz say.

"What? How are they frickin' silver?"

"I have no clue but they are! Do you want me to take a pic of them on my phone so that you can see?" Iz says, she has an iPhone 5S and she loves to take random pictures.

"No dip Sherlock!" I hear Iz reach in her pants pocket and pull out her phone. Then I hear the annoying sound that her phone makes when she takes a picture. I start to turn around and Elijah lets out a growl and pulls his hand back, I seriously want him to just keep touching me, then he pulls my shirt back down and I turn around all the way. Iz is holding her phone out for me to see and sure enough I see beautiful, swirly, glowing silver lines on my back. "Holy crap." I breathe out.

"Okay lets get back to the house and talk about this. Then we can all go to sleep and be sort of rested for school in the morning." Jas says from somewhere behind me, I can tell that he wants to see the marks but I also know that Elijah is not going to let any male see them.

"Yeah he's right, let's go back." I say as I turn to start running. Everyone starts running and I am pulled back by a hand on my arm, instantly I know it is Elijah's.

He pulls me into an embrace and says,"I can't believe that all of this happened in one day."

"Yeah, I know right."

After we got home we were all wide awake because of the thrill of the hunt and the fact that I have freaky glowing silver marks on my back! I mean seriously what in the world? What kind of freak am I?

Once we walk in the house me and Jas lead everyone to the living room and I sit on our black leather love seat, jasper takes a seat in his matching chair that sits next to the love seat, and as I suspected Elijah made his way to sit next to me on the love seat. Everyone else sits on the floor. Wow not the best choice of seating on my part, there are so many jokes that Iz and Jas are going to torment me with later. Without thinking I look at him and turn ten shades of red.

'Maybe no the best seating choice, huh Serah?' I hear Iz's voice in my head say.

"Oh, shut up!" I say. When everyone looks at me weird I realise that I just said that out loud, I turn an even deeper shade of red. Then Iz breaks down laughing and the attention is shifted off of me as everyone turns to stare at her.

"I take it she said something about your seating choice?"Jas says with a smirk.

"Yep now shut up will ya? Elijah needs full introductions to everyone here." Jas nods and I start with the intros."Elijah this is Victoria(my mother), Sunder, Cara(Jas's girlfriend), Leah(my sister), Daniel, Kate, Heather, and Issac." I say gesturing to everyone as I say their names. "Then you know Jasper, who likes to be called Jas, and Isabella, who likes to be called Iz. Everybody this is Elijah."

"You can all call me Eli."

"Oh as you all know they are mates." Iz says with a mischievious glint in her eyes.

"Iz! I'm gonna kill you!" I say as I run over to her with inhuman speed and slug her shoulder.

"Ouch! Hey!" She yelps and then mumbles, "at least I admit it."

"I know we are mates! The freaking silvery glowing marks are there Iz, I have admitted it!"

My sister Leah who didn't go on the hunt because she is thirteen and still in training says,"wait you have his marks?"

"Yes, Le I do." I say with a warm smile, I love my little sister.

"Can I see? I wanna see what they look like, so if I get some one day I know what they look like."

"Yeah sure Le! Come here." I say with a smile as I extend my hand out to her to pull her up. And that is when I see the time it is 4:30 in the morning! "Why are you awake this late, Le?"

"I heard you guys come in, so I came out and saw everyone sitting so I figured I should sit too, and here I am. So where are the marks?" She asks sounding excited.

"On my back." She walks around to my back and lifts up my shirt. I hear her adorable gasp. And then she squeals.

"THAT IS SOOOOOO COOL!!!!" She says as she squeals.

I pull down my shirt and turn around to see her jumping up and down with a huge smile on her face. I grab her hands and say,"they are cool aren't they?" I glance at Elijah, wait he told me to call him Eli, who has a huge grin, that is filled with what looks like pride, on his face.

Then her smile disappears and is replacd with a questioning look and she says,"wait, I thought you said they were silver and glowing. They are black."
