Chapter 11: Begin

"That's Hyungsik. You knew." Seokjin muttered, his arms crossed, and his face contorted in a beautiful frown.

The BTS members are currently in the VIP room, chairs faced a huge double-sided glass, overlooking the swaying and drunken crowd of Black Swan. But they didn't care about that. Their eyes are only focused on Taehyung and the man beside him.

"Yes. Jimin hyung too." Jungkook answered, his face is blank. Jimin intentionally did the betting part to lead Taehyung to Hyungsik. It was all Jungkook's bidding. Seokjin's eyes fall on Jimin's angelic face. Jimin only grinned at his baffled hyungs.

"How? Why...?" Still puzzled, Seokjin asked. His face is full of question marks. Same with Yoongi, Namjoon, and Hoseok who are listening quietly in the corner. They are discussing something inaudibly.

"I've been collecting intel these past few days and apparently, that guy has been trying to contact me. I don't know if it is because of Taehyung. We still don't know if Taehyung would want to talk to him anymore. That guy disappeared from his life after you went to the states, Seokjin hyung. For all I know, he must've hated him. It's Taehyung's decision to talk to him, not mine." Jungkook stated like it was obvious. He didn't want to further explain because he knew his hyungs will get it afterwards.

"I-I didn't know. Taehyung must've been very lonely." Seokjin replied, albeit still bewildered at the sudden turn of events. Ah, that's why Jungkook invited all of them at this specific time in this specific place. All these years, he still can't decipher what the younger is thinking but he learned to trust Jungkook as a family and as their leader. If this is the best way to approach things, then so be it.

"He is. I saw everything what he went through, hyung." Jungkook answered, his voice showing a hint of empathy and sympathy for his soulmate. This is a first time, and this stunned his hyungs. Jungkook never shows remorse to anyone, even to them.

"I know." Seokjin nods, understanding Jungkook right away. He knew that Jungkook could feel what his soulmate felt when he saw Taehyung's memories. He swiftly changes the subject with "So, is Hyungsik's a regular in—"

"No, he must be here to snoop." Yoongi chimes in. He stood up and walk towards the double-sided glass to look at the Hyungsik with disdain.

"Sent by Yashimoto?" Hoseok asked, head still drooped towards his gadget and rapidly typing something to it.

"Maybe? Maybe not?" Jungkook nonchalantly shrugged. But his sharp eyes tell otherwise, it never leaves his soulmate's smiling face. That smile should only be directed to him, not someone else's.

"Maybe? What the fuck?" Namjoon muttered under his breath. Seokjin shushed him.

"Ah, so that's why you send Taehyung instead of one of us?" Seokjin asked just to clarify. He knew Hyungsik is a good person but that Hyungsik he's familiar with was like that years ago. He doesn't know who is Hyungsik now that they are adults.

"Yes, Taehyung is less... threatening." Jungkook carefully stated. It will be suspicious if they, themselves, approached Hyungsik especially when he was under the Yashimoto's. His theory was proven when Hyungsik tried to run earlier when he was approached by Taehyung. That guy was being too cautious. "Jin hyung, go invite them here. It's time." He added when he saw Taehyung's boxy smile turning into a grimace.

"Where's the 'please, hyungnim' you brat." Seokjin scowled at the younger.

"Please, hyungnim," Jungkook repeated adorably, pouting and showing his doe eyes for a second to the elder. His eyes turning back right away to his uneasy soulmate. Jimin and Hoseok snickered while Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"Okay, rascal," Seokjin said, taking large strides towards the exit. When the automatic door clicked with a lock, Yoongi approached Jungkook with a warning glare.
