Y/N POV

I woke up to scarlet and viridescent lights flashing throughout the room. But it wasn't a room; it was a box, a metal box. My eyes were blurry, and I couldn't make out anything else around me. My head was pounding, and my heart sped up as I realized I was moving......fast.

I closed my eyes, trying to remember anything before this moment. My life? No. My family? No. My name......no?! I couldn't remember anything!

All I could focus on now is where I am. I closed my eyes for a second, taking a few deep breathes to center myself. I opened my eyes and tried to focus as much as I could.

I'm in a metal box. Surrounded but a load of boxes, some were small, others were large. There were red and green lights beaming through the box, nearly blinding me. Before I could notice or focus on anything else, my head started to spin, and I blacked out.

Newt's POV

(Newt is still a runner)

Minho and had just made it back from the maze. We made our way to the map room to chart what we had run and add or alter the maze model. Before we could accomplish any of this, there was a slight buzz coming from outside. Minho and I gave each other a look.

We sprinted out of the map room to see 20-30 boys already crowding around the box. I made my way over to Alby, who was trying to push his way through the crowd of boys.

"Newt, get through here and open that damn box." He said, struggling to stand as more boys started to load around him.

I gave Alby a nod as I squeezed my way through the tenths of boys. I got to the box and opened the top. I jumped down quickly. My eyes started to adjust as I realized that the greenie laying before was non-other than a girl.

"It's a girl," I said prominently, but my next statement was in a whisper, "I think she's dead."

"Ha!"

"Dibs."

"Is she cute?"

"Gorgeous." I whispered to myself as multiple boys exclaimed many indifferent things.

I looked back at her, and she was no longer asleep. She was pushed against one of the walls. Her eyes were filled with anger that was flushed with confusion.

"It's okay. You're safe."

Y/N POV

I woke up to a blinding light reaching through my retinas and piercing a headache throughout my head. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw a boy talking to a group of at least 40 others. He was talking, but I couldn't interpret what he was saying. I crept up to the wall behind me as my hand found a sharp object bedside me. The boy turned down, looking at me with a surprised look across his face. He stepped closer to me.

"It's okay. You're safe."

All in one moment my mind took over and my hand grasped onto the object beside me. As I whipped my hand towards the boy, the knife became a centimeter from the boy's torso.

He didn't flinch. Not one muscle or vein moved. He just stood there looking at me, his face now expressionless.

"Where am I? Who am I? Who are you?!"

I said, but it came out more aggressive than necessary.

A small smirk came onto the blonde boy's lips.

"All questions will be answered in a second, love."

He put out a hand gesturing for me to take it. Instead, I stood up and pulled myself out of the box. It was bigger than I had first realized. When I got out of the box, all the boys stood there staring. It made me quite uncomfortable as I started to back out of the crowd. Another boy threw down a rope that the blonde-haired boy took and climbed out with.

I ran into someone behind me as I turned around. I was an inch away from his face.

"Hello there."

A dark-skinned boy said as he gave me a kind smile before looking around him.

"Everyone get back to work!"

He yelled as all the boys scattered back to whatever they were doing.

"Hi, I'm Alby. I run this place."

He said, giving me his hand to shake. I shook it.

"What is this place."

I stated more than asked in a determined and bossy tone.

"Well, this is the Glade."
