I miss

I miss being just a kid.
I miss secretly whispering when teacher left the room.
I miss when the only stressful things were time tests.
I miss playing marbles on the playground to see who will win all of them.
I miss dodgeball and capturing the flag.
I miss the pure joy that filled our hearts when it was the last day of school.
I miss my innocence.
I miss Halloween parties where we would trade candy and wear vampires teeth.
I miss when the worries of the world couldn't even come near you.
I miss when the word "failing" didn't even exist.
When depression, suicide and drugs were all words too big for you to pronounce.
When we thought high schoolers were cool and we couldn't wait to be one.

But now that I am one, I miss it.
I miss my childhood.
