"What are you getting ready for Y/n?"

I noticed my twin brother, Aether, stick his head into the bathroom.

"Ehehe...don't worry about it~" I replied, applying lip gloss.

He crossed his arms. "Oh no. Don't tell me you're going on a date."

I froze and my eyes widened. Crap! How did he know? I cleared my throat. "No, I'm just hanging out with a friend of mine. Not a date."

He rose his eyebrows and stepped into the bathroom. "Uh-huh. Which friend?"

I rolled my eyes. "Must you know? I'm an adult, Aether."

"As your br-"

I lightly shoved him. "Oh my gosh, please shut up with the whole brother thing. Since you're being so nosy, I'm hanging out with Hu Tao."

My phone buzzed and I reached my hand out to grab it, but Aether reached it first.

"HEY!" I shouted.

He pressed a hand to my face and read my notification out loud. "'Hey girlie, are you almost ready'...WINKY FACE?! And it's from CHILDE?! What the hell are you thinking Y/n?"

I smacked Aether and took my phone from him. "That I'm going on a date with a guy I like!"

"Childe is dangerous and immature!" he protested.

"And you're immature and judgmental! He just gives you a hard time and occasionally gets into some fights. He's really caring otherwise!" I retorted.

"A college student getting into fights." Aether grimaced. "How uncouth."

I replied to Childe, saying that I was ready. He texted back saying he was on his way. Then, I turned to Aether. "I can handle myself, calm down."

Aether narrowed his eyes at me. "You better be back in an hour."

I burst out laughing. "Have you ever been on a- no, have you ever hung out with someone before? In your 20 years of living?" I left the bathroom and headed to my room to grab my purse and jacket.

Aether trailed behind me. "Don't be ridiculous, of course I've hung out with people before, you know this! I just think you shouldn't spend too much time with Childe. Also, it's February so it's cold out!"

"Well, sorry I've scored a date and you haven't. And what do you think my jacket is for? Anyways, I'll be heading out now~"

"He's picking you up?!" Aether shouted.

I rolled my eyes. "Yes! We don't exactly have a car to take. Money goes toward rent~"

After finally getting Aether off my case, I left the house to see a car pulled up front and Childe standing in front of it.

He pulled down his iconic red scarf, revealing a smile. "Hey Y/n! You look great."

I felt my face grow warm despite the biting cold. "Hi!"

"YOU!" I heard my brother shout from behind me as he trudged through the snow to my side and grabbed the collar of my shirt. "I don't care what my sister thinks of you, this isn't happening."

I let out a huge huff. "Oh my Archon. Aether, get a life! Please!" I smacked his hand off of me. He's acting like we're still teenagers...this is incredibly embarrassing.

"Hey Aether! Did you miss me? We saw each other recently in class, but I do understand the attachment." Childe gave an innocent smile.

"You think I'd miss you?" Aether questioned. "The last time we saw each other we FOUGHT in the parking lot. Thank Archon Jean got out of class late to give us a ride..."
