"Do what?" Sucy replied flatly, her face changing into another unreadable expression. Amanda paused, making sure the stop wasn't to jarring for the sleeping girl in her arms.
"I mean, how were you being so comforting?" The red head said it more to herself than to Sucy.
"Oh," Sucy looked over her shoulder, "I live in an foster home, there are kids who come and go, but all the older ones who stay learn to help out with the others. Especially when there's is only one adult in the house." Amanda nodded thoughtfully, and continued walking to the red dorms.
