Now where were we

The slumber party was in full swing, we were all in the blue teams dorm talking and eating (jasminka's home made snacks were amazing). Amanda interrupted the chaos, bursting through the doors yelling " Yo any of you got movie requests," she a projector in her arms, "Mary said that we could borrow this"

"We could watch Ghibli films like howls moving castle or spirited away," I answered almost immediately, the recommendation was greeted with a unanimous shrug so I dashed of to get the tapes.

After the movie (they watched spirited away btw)

"That was very interesting" Diana said when the credits start rolling,"Ya most of the mythical creatures and spirits were based off of real Japanese folklore," I yawned, standing up to stretch.
"So is Japan just as magical England or the US," Jasminka pondered
"Probably not but I do remember seeing 'magical' creatures in the forest near where I lived, when I think about it they sort of look like tiny faeries," the memories came slowly, but were very vivid. The so called faeries were plain white but glowing, and I can't seem to remember anything else outside of the biolumanesent glow from those little humanoids.

"The scene where haku takes chihiro up in the sky reminds me of a chapter in Nightfall volume 69 where Edward takes Bella for a ride in the clouds," Lotte said dreamily, making reference to one of her favourite book series, while Barbra animatedly agrees with her.
"You girls should start placing your sleeping bags down." Diana ordered, noticing it was almost curfew.

Time skip

When every one was drifting of to sleep something kept me awake, I still managed to get some shut-eye until... swoop! A fleeting shadow entered my feild of vision, I shot up looking around to see where it went. Slowly I got up (avoiding any of my friends heads) and left the room, grabbing my hoodie just in case. The halls were dark. Emty. However I somehow managed to follow the shadow outside into the northern campus.

A roar bellows though the ruins, fearing it was Arcas -the polar bear who gaurds this place- I quickly turned around only to be faced with much worse. What seemed to be a human with horns protruding from its forehead, held a mask with cat like features. With no warning it attacked hitting me in the side,  a sharp pain rung throughout my body as i collapsed to the floor, I'm bleeding but they didn't seem to hold any weapons. The  thing started to attack me again this time using small throwing knives it was slower but much more aggressive than the first blow. Coming in closer for more hand to hand combat I make a reckless decision. Calling on the powers I haven't used in a long time, I pray that I don't lose control like I did too many times before. My vision begins to blure and tint red as I fight back. I deliver blow after blow. Punch after punch, until the bastard was down on their knees. Ripping off the mask revealed a familiar face.

Its true those powers are permanently yours, after all i was the one who offered them, but that does not mean I'm dead

Speechless, after all that time he was still alive, I was so enraged i took the finishing blow with his own weapon killed him right there. However I was still overcome with guilt, his existence reminded me of when I hurt other people and the increasing pain of my injuries didn't help.

With as much energy as I could muster up I managed to steal some sewing supplies and gauzes from the infirmary , hiding a couple in my dorm room I head to the bathroom to bandage myself up.

Skip if you're squeamish

Taking my shirt off revealed a large gash in my side, I start by cleaning it up, then using scissors I prepared the edges to be sewn. I had to bite my bloodied shirt to stop myself from screaming in pain then I tend to my other wouds, the cut on my face and the busted lip will be hard to cover up but at least I wasn't bleeding out anymore.

There was a small gauze on my cheek, but I didn't bother to cover up the lip up. Looking for my dropped bloody clothes I finally noticed I had grabbed the bastards mask, it was a traditional Japanese style mask I've only ever seen at carnivals and its its really cool, I guess I'll keep it. With that momentous decision out of the way I limped back to the blue teams dorm.

Opening the door I found everyone up and out of ther beds waiting for me, " Akko!" They all yelled, it was so startling I collapsed to the floor for the second time that day. Diana and Amanda rushed to my side after they noticed the blood and bandages, but I passed out before they could ask anything.
