Can she keep it a secret?

Chapter 3

*** 04.00 ***

I quickly opened my eyes. My heart going crazy, beating so fast making the heart monitor giving out a long beeeeeeep...........

Dr.Brown came running in the door, followed by 4 nurses. My body was stiff, It felt like I was beeing choked. My throat closed, and I couldn't breathe. I could feel something coming up trough my throat, and befeore I could realize what happened I was coughing blood.

The nurses ran in the room, some taking tests and some taking notes from the monitors. I was in severe pain, and they injected me with some new pain medisins, and before I realized it, my eyes closed and it all went black.

POV: Mrs. Johnson (Kate)

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My precious daughter laying in that awful white room unconsious.

They called me 04.15 in the morning, telling me that Valeria had colapsed and was now unconcious. I had ran out of the house, grabbing the keys with me, heading towards the hospital.

Sofie was home taking care of the kids. She was asleep when I left, so I decided to just leave a message on her voicemail.

Valeria had been unconcious in 26 hours now. This was all my fault, I was the reason she was unconcious. I'm a terrible mother, I kept telling myself. How could I let this happen? I was supposed  to take care of her for Gods sake!

The minutes and hours slowly passed away. Her black wavy hair looked dead, miserable. Her face was so swollen that she wasn't even able to open her left eye. She always told me she was fine, but as a mother I could see all the severe pain she was in. She flinced even if I was just striking her hair.

She was so pale...her lips looked dry, like she hadn't gotten any water for weeks.

"I'm so sorry Valeria...I know you can't hear me, but you have to know that I love you, I love you with all of my heart, and whatever happens you have to know that I love you, always have and always will.

I kept my hand in hers while my head was resting on the bed. My eyes slowly closed, but suddenly opened again when I heard her voice. Or was I just imagining my own daughter telling me that she loved me back. Of course I was imagining, she couldn't love me after all that had happend.

"I Love you too mom" I looked up to see her eyes looking into mine. Her face was pale, but she smiled!

"DOCTORS!?" I yelled in the hallway. Dr.Brown quickly came into view. "She's awake!" I almost shouted, a big smile on my face.

He went into the room were my precious Valeria was lying.

POV: Valeria (Miss.Johnson)

 My mother was crying. She shouted into the hallway, telling them that I was awake. I then noticed Dr.Brown entering my vision. He walked calmy towards me, followed by a nurse.

"I'm glad to see you awake" Dr.Brown told me while taking a few notes. "How are you feeling?" he then looked up from his notes, looking at me.

I couldn't tell him while my mother was here. I couldn't tell how much pain I was in, I could barely manage to breathe without causing too much pain.

"I'm fine" I told him, putting on a fake smile.

"Hun, tell the truth, we both know you are lying"

"mom..." she cut me off, telling me to say the truth. I looked at her, she had a blank expression. I took a deep breath (something I shouldn't because it instantly made me flinch)

"I'm struggeling. I can barely hold on. It is killing me. It feels like someone is constantly stabbing me, and I keep having these nightmares. It feels like his whatching me, like he is here at the hospital just waiting to make his move. I'm in severe pain, I can't move without almost causing unbarebale pain."
