I was looking around Platform 9 and ¾ for a ginger haired girl. As soon as I spotted her, she yelled at me.
"ABIGAIL!" Ginny Weasley yelled as our eyes met from around the corner. I immediately ran up to her and pulled her into a huge hug.
"I missed you so much, Ginny! How was your summer?" I asked with a big smile plastered on my face. She looked down at me with the same.
"It was great, although I missed you a bunch." She said. Me and Ginny were roommates and we would spend all night talking to each other and laughing. I also missed her like crazy. She was my best friend. "How was your summer, Abigail?"
"It was good me and my mom spent a lot of time together and we went to a few beaches!" I exclaimed. I had fun this summer, but like every summer I missed my dad. My dad left me when I was three years old to do some job in Egypt. He said he was coming back after 6 months, but he never did. Unfortunately, I found out that my dad was kidnapped by death eaters and killed when I was 6. My mom was heartbroken and so was I.
"Earth to Abigail???" Ginny swiped her hand in front of my eyes, snapping me out of my trance. "Spaced out again."
"Yeah sorry." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck.
"Let's get a seat on the Express." She told me as she walked to the entrance of the enchanted train. As we boarded the train, happiness set over me. There was magic and laughter everywhere. It felt like home. It was home. As we walked by many compartments, I was looking for one with 3 people. I looked over to my left to see 3 people smiling up at me.
"Harry, Ron, Hermoine!!" I grinned at them as I pulled them into a hug. As me and Ginny got conformentable in our seats, the 3 talked about their summers. It was great to see them again. I noticed everyone looked a lot older. Harry in particular. As he met my eyes, butterflies fluttered in my stomach. I was slightly surprised with them forming inside of me because I had never felt this way to any of my guy friends before. I ignored them and suppressed them.
"Would anyone like anything to eat?" I offered as the trolly was coming near.
"Hot cocoa"
"Pumpkin Pastie"
"2 chocolate frogs and 3 chocolate wands."
"Jelly slugs."
"Ok I will be back with them." I said as I tried to keep count of the things everyone wanted. I stood up when a warm hand sending shivers down my body touched me.
"Abigail, let me get it. You sit down." Harry looked at me. I could feel my cheeks go red. I nodded my head, hoping he didn't notice the pink on my face. I turned to face the window, questioning myself about these feelings. I knew they weren't real. They couldn't. I was drifting off into thought until someone tapped my shoulder. It was Ginny.
"Here comes Harry with the food." She said. Ron's head shot up like a dog. I laughed hard.
"I've got the food, hot cocoa, pumpkin pastie, chocolate frogs and chocolate wands, jelly slugs," Harry handed everyone their food. I noticed he had an extra wrapper of something. "Oh And Abigail, I got you jelly beans because I didn't want you to be hungry." Harry beamed at me. This made my heart skip a beat and my face had a huge smile on it.
"Thank you, Harry." I said. The rest of the ride there we talked about the upcoming year and stuff. I was having a great time finally being at home again.
