"Oh...my...god."

Eve said, looking down at Levi. He was sprawled on the floor. She shut the phone off and knelt by his side. Water rushed by swirling into the gutter before slipping into the drainage system.

"Are you alright?"

Levi attempted to get up, but Eve gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "No, don't  move," she checked that he was actually okay. She found no sign of obvious trauma. "Can you move your toes?"

"What?"

"Your toes."

Levi slightly moved his toes.  "Yes, they're moving," he frowned.

"Fingers," Eve said.

Levi moved his fingers. Eve looked at his eyes she nodded satisfied that his responses were normal.

"I'm fine really," Levi said.

Better to be certain. Now let's sit you up; slowly."

"I've done worse at football."

"Hey, better safe than sorry." She smiled.

"I'm bloody well soaked through." Levi propped himself up on his elbows. He felt furious and a little more than embarrassed. Even in anger, which wasn't very often, Levi was one of those characters whose anger sounded unintentionally funny. He just didn't have that angry edge which most people possessed.

Cameron and Andrew were still laughing.

"That idiot driver, nothing I  could do." Levi shrugged. "All I could see was this wave..."

The remainder of what he had to say was drowned out as Cameron and Andrew laughed  even harder. Eve helped Levi up to his feet.  "Easy, now."  She looked at Cameron, gave her best disappointed expression, and shook her head.

"How'd you end up on the floor?" She asked.

"Tripped over my lace, as I jumped out of the way," he said.

Cameron was holding his sides, tears rolled down his face. Andrew looked at Vicky who, to give her credit, tried her best not to laugh. This just made Andrew laugh all the more. He nudged Cameron, and pointed at Vicky. The strain of trying not to laugh was all too obviously etched on her face. This made them both laugh harder.

"You're sure you're not hurt?" Eve asked.

"I'm good, you know me." Levi smiled. A hint of swagger back in his step now that he was back on his feet.

"Sopping wet, yep, we know you alright." Cameron said.

This caused another eruption of laughter and another look from Eve.

"I'll drive; you had better dry off and change your clothes." Vicky said. She turned away quickly rushing back into the camper. Her face had bloomed red. Andrew could have sworn he heard stiffled laughter.

"Bloody good start, this is. I'm freezing."  Levi complained as he closed the camper door behind him.

"That could only happen to him," Cameron said.

"Shall we get back to the car," Eve said, foldeding her arms across her chest. "If you can manage that without pissing yourself laughing."

"What?" Cameron said, shrugging as Eve stalked back to the car. "We're joking." But Eve wasn't listening.

"Someone's in trouble...and it's not me." Andrew said.

"The day is not over yet." Cameron reminded him.
