23 Jan 2000: 'Tim Drake aka Robin has been missing for a week. Batman has been brutal nearly killing every bad guy who comes in his way. The police are too scared to work with him anymore. Is Gotham's saviour turning into its biggest enemy only time will te-'
'You should sleep now Master Bruce' Alfred said while turning off the TV.
Bruce didn't answer. He was still staring at the black TV screen.
'I know where he is Alfred, get the batmobile ready.' he stood up abruptly...
The batmobile halted at the gate of ACE Chemicals. With a hiss, the cockpit opened up, out came the big bat. Crickets were chirping in the woods around. Other than that, there wasn't a single sound. Batman spotted two guards near the main building, 100 feet apart from each other. The security was loose. Almost as if someone wanted Batman to go inside...not someone, the JOKER. Batman aimed his grapple gun at the building, and the next moment, he was at the top. It was dark, but he did not need to see, he heard what he wanted to just a faint, 'I know you are here batsy!' followed by laughter.
He put a step forward turning on his flashlight but his feet hit something and an alarm went off. Before he could move, the two guards started climbing up the stairs leading to the roof. Batman had no time to waste. He attacked one of them, kicked him in the gut just as he reached the top. The guard flipped backwards and fell straight on the ground with a thud. He turned around to find the other guard pointing a gun at him. Batman moved, the guard shot, Batman pulled his cape in front of him deflecting the bullet off it and pounced at the guard, he appeared to say something but Batman didn't care. He punched him in the face with all his might, the guard became unconscious, Batman's glove was soaked in blood. He started moving forward, Joker's laughter was getting louder. With a jump, he broke through the roof and landed on the floor. Without looking up, he threw a Batarang. It went straight through Harley Quinn's wrist who was about to inject Tim Drake tied to a chair with something.
'Behind You!' Tim Drake screamed. Batman did a backflip and punched the Joker on his face- mid-air. The Joker fell flat on his back and became unconscious.
'You all right Robin?'
'Yeah, I guess'

'All right now pull the steering back slowly for boost' Batman instructed Robin, the Batmobile picked up the pace and zoomed past the tall skyscrapers, lightened by the moon shining through the dark clouds looming over Gotham city.

The bat signal given by Police commissioner Gordon was visible on the clouds. Robin steered the Batmobile towards it. The LEDs in the Batmobile shifted its colour from blue to red, indicating a call from the former Robin-Dick Grayson aka Nightwing.

'Talk!' Batman said in a low voice.

Before Nightwing could say anything, Tim interrupted, 'Guess who's driving tonight boy wonder!'

'What Bruce you let him drive...Ouch, anyways, I need you here in Bludhaven city hall, some weird guy has kept kids as hostages, dressed them up as Robin, and he wants a date with you I guess.' Nightwing said, 'Oh and he will blow up this place along with himself if you don't show up in 15 minutes, better drive yourself now old man.'

'Hmmm...' Batman cut the call, he and Robin exchanged seats and exactly 4 minutes later, they were outside the city hall.

Nightwing greeted them in his spare Batman suit, 'Well, I wanted to confront him myself but they always see through my disguise and the kids were there so I decided against it.'

'Robin, stay here with Nightwing, I will handle this one.' Batman said turning towards the entry gate of the hall. The police had lined up with their guns loaded behind their respective cars.

'Woah, didn't you listen carefully, he dressed up the children as Robin, that is me. So this is my fight too' Robin replied

'Stay' Batman said giving his "THE STARE" to Robin and walked towards the gate, the police shifted uncomfortably in his presence
