Interrogation

.

Dhanvanthri was starting to think that this entire kingdom was 70% made out of idiots, uncivilised and uneducated fools who knew nothing beyond following orders and carrying them out with a narrow mindset. Absolute dumbasses. He sighed, watching the men whimper as they remain tied up.

"You're all idiots," Dhanvanthri announced with a condescending smile. Not just idiots, they're all wimps. Cowards. Completely spineless. Dhanvanthri was tempted to make them literally spineless because of how pathetic they were. These were the peoples the organisation sent to hunt him down?

Dhanvanthri knew his kidnappers would end up trying to kidnap him again, gathering information. They likely got information as to what happened to his previous foster parents, not to mention they should be aware that he was accepted back into the castle. He had been expected the kidnapping organisation to make their moves recently but to know that they dispatched these bunch of complete losers?

He was offended, thoroughly so.

"I'll be nice," Dhavanthri smiled, "Tell me who you work for, just a description if you don't want to share their name. Tell me and I'll let you live."

One of the men got braver, he stood up defiantly, "You won't get anything out of us, you monster."

"Monster? Get original," Dhanvanthri sneered down at him, "Who do you think has the upper hand right now, dog?  You think you have the right to make demands?"

"You're nothing but a monster, you know very well, your highness," The man laughed. Dhanvanthri reached his leg out and kicked the man's head down, slamming it directly against the floor all while his hands were still neatly hanging by his side and his head cocked slightly. His eyes grew colder when he saw blood seeping out of their head.

"Yeah, I'm a monster, so?" Dhanvanthri raised a brow. "You should know better than to taunt a monster, fool."

"Your highness, it's getting late," Noah interrupted, his voice filled with something akin to awe. Dhanvanthri glanced at him before frowning in discontent, "Really? Then, I'll need to get my hands dirty, after all."

"...Forgive me, your highness," Noah interjected, "But may I be your hands."

"No need," Dhanvanthri shot him down, his mood switching into a bad one. Noah's hands were for him to dirty, and it most certainly wasn't going to be for these fools. Plus, getting his hands dirty wasn't entirely necessary. Dhanvanthri lifted his leg off the head he was still stepping on before reaching down. He dragged the man's face up by his head and stared straight into his eyes.

"Rosalina Grant," Dhanvanthri stated the name, making the bleeding fool widen his eyes in horror. He stammered out, "How, how do you know about that?"

"Did you think I couldn't tell who you were, Hilson Wane?" Dhanvanthri asked, "Did you think I would forget how you walked through the doors of that shack and asked how much would one of my eyes cost if you sold it? Did you think I would forget and not find out about you?"

"You did!" Dhanvanthri chuckled gleefully at the look of horror which dawned on Hilson's face. "What a mistake, now... Rosalina Grant, I wonder what the world would think when they find out not only is the Baroness of Grant having an affair, the current heir isn't even the Baron's blood son but yours? The son of a merchant who's not even wealthy!"

Hilson paled. "No, please, don't."

"Oh?" Dhanvanthri smiled sinisterly, "What's your son's name again? Hm, the current Heir for the Grant household is... Hudson Grant, right? Fifteen, wasn't he? He must be enjoying his life so much in school, privileged to be among the nobles, even the sole heir to his family."

"Whatever shall I do if I accidentally slipped and tell the world that he's illegitimate?" Dhanvanthri asked. Then, he put on a shocked look, "Oh, but I don't even have to say it, do I? I just need to plant the rumours, it'll fester, and eventually, the truth would come out on its own."

"Please," Hilson sobbed, "Please don't do that, I'm begging you, please."

"Then, beg," Dhanvanthri sneered, dropping him on his face again.

Hilson crawled to his feet, practically kissing his shoes at this point but all Dhanvanthri did was look down at him coldly. Noah shot him a look, it was weird to think that his prince was still a child especially with how he acts but Noah was truly in awe.

"You want to know about our boss, right?" Hilson sobbed, "I don't know his name, I don't know about his looks. All I know is that he's not from our kingdom, he wants to invade Obelia, he knows an Oracle or something. He thinks that you're a threat, your highness. He wants to eliminate you."

"That's it?" Dhanvanthri raised his brows.

"He, he, he's always accompanied by a woman with red hair!" Hilson rushed to say, "No one knows her name, we call her Madame! But she has an Eastern accent, she definitely doesn't sound like she's from our Empire! And she's a poison master!"

"She sounds familiar," Dhanvanthri hummed, lying. Of course, he had absolutely no clue as to who this woman was but psychological tactics were needed here. "Ah yes, I know her. What was her name again...?"

"Madame Xin!" One of the men who was whimpering before called out. "I heard someone call her Madame Xin!"

"And the boss has a scar on his left eye!" The other man shouted, "We don't know anything else, please let us go."

Dhanvanthri smiled sweetly, "Is that it?"

"Yes, that's all we know, please."

"Noah," Dhanvanthri called out, "Send these men to prison for assaulting a minor. That should be... sentenced for four years in jail. Make sure to keep my involvement out of it."

Hilson looked horrified, "You promised you'll let us go!"

"I promised I wouldn't murder you," Dhanvanthri said, "I never said anything about letting you go. I'm the Prince of Obelia, know your place."
