You let out a deep sigh placing ur phone on your bedside, dreading the fact you have to be around that cretin all day. He does nothing but push your buttons. You sluggishly pulled yourself out of bed and started to get ready.

You made your way down to the Lobby where you saw everyone waiting for you, the first person to catch your eye was a boy with bright blue hair, he seemed to be wearing a mask which covered his face, 'strange' you thought. Another Boy with orange curly, and circular glasses that reminded you of Harry Potter in a way, walked towards you with a friendly smile, he stuck out his hand and introduced himself

"Hi, I'm Todd, I've heard lots about you from Ashley, it's nice to finally meet you!"
You stuck out your hand to return the gesture, "Nice to meet you Todd!" You smiled as he turned to introduce his boyfriend Neil to you, along with Sal, the boy with the mask.
You all headed out and piled into Larrys van, you didn't exactly know what the group had in store for today but didn't question it either.
You soon pulled up to the edge of a heavily wooded area in the middle of practically nowhere, "So uh, where are we?" You asked as everyone exited out of the van. "There's supposed to be a super haunted house out here, word on the street is a bunch of lunatic occultists would frequent the cabin for rituals and live sacrifices." Ashley replied, sending a cold chill up your spine.

"So when you say live sacrifices, you mean... they like, killed people?"
"Precisely." Ashley responded, as she pulled out 6 flashlights, handing one to each of you. The group then started down a narrow overgrown path into the woods. You walked for a while beside Sal, he mostly kept to himself, not talking much, only offering slight glances then averting his gaze swiftly. So you decided to break the awkward tension building between the two of you, "so sal, what's up with the mask?" You asked moving closer to him, he shifted slightly from you and responded l, still looking down at the dirt. "It's a prosthetic."
"Oh, my bad." you felt your cheeks instantly flush with embarrassment, 'Great way of trying to break the tension Y/N, you just made it even more awkward!'
"Your good, I get that question a lot so it doesn't bother me." He said actually facing you while speaking this time. You felt better knowing he didn't take it to heart, but still felt embarrassed for even saying anything.

After a few more minutes of walking the group merged from the woods and into a small clearing where the house Ashley spoke about stood. You felt anxiety bubbling inside, but tried to ignore the tight feeling in your chest as you and the gang entered into the house. It was way bigger than you were expecting, it stood about 3 stories plus a basement and a cellar. Sal suggested that the group split up into pairs to cover the house better, Todd and Neil obviously partnered up, and you assumed you and Ashley would stick together as well, but it seemed Sal had a different plan in mind as he quickly grabbed her hand, and asked her to partner up. "Oh Sal, actually I was gonna partner up with Y/N-"
You cut Ashley off before she could finish, "No, no don't worry about me it's totally fine Ash, I don't wanna be a bother." You already felt extremely awkward hanging out with Ashley's friends, you wouldn't want to get in the way of them having fun.
"You sure Y/N? We can go together it's really no problem." She questioned, "Totally dude, don't even worry. I'm good on my own." You said trying to sound confident, even though you were scared shitless.

"You can't go alone Y/N, it's dangerous. Plus this place is old as shit, and probably not so sturdy in some places. You and Larry can go together." Sal suggested. You instantly protested, "Don't worry about me Sal, I'm totally cool on my own." Just as you turned to walk away, your arm was jerked back to face Larry.
"Don't get an ego, let's just go." Larry said grabbing Your arm and dragging you down the hall. "Hey, let go of me!" You lurched your arm from his grasp and stood to face him.
"What's your problem dude? Do you wanna hunt ghosts or not?" Larry spat sounding a little ticked off.
"Not with you" You retorted. You turned around making your way down a separate hallway, Larry didn't bother chasing after you.

As you made your way down the barely lit hallway of the house, the floor boards creaked loud beneath your boots with every step you took, every now and then the sound of the house settling startled you, making you jump. You can feel your heart practically jumping out of your chest. At the end of the hall you noticed an old wooden door slightly pushed open. 'This is so fucked, I should've just stayed home today.'
You held your breath as you slowly pushed open the door, the room was pitch black, you couldn't make out any of your surroundings aside from whatever your flashlight could illuminate. You crept your way further into the room, still unable to see anything.
BAM! The door behind you slammed shut, the sudden sound caused you to drop your flashlight in a panic, and let out an earth shattering scream, you ran towards the door banging and cried out,
"HELP, HOLY FUCK HELP!" You screamed slamming against the door frantically. The door then swung open, and you threw yourself into the arms of your saviour knocking the two of you onto the floor.

"Hey what the fuck is your problem?" Larry asked, swiftly pushed yourself off of him and stood up dusting ur pants. "The door slammed shut on me, how else was I supposed to react?"You spoke with a little tremble from the shock. "Yea no shit dude, I heard you from down the hall, you sure can scream." He chuckled a bit, you punched his arm in aggravation. "Thanks for opening the door though." You said under your breath. "What'd you say?" Larry questioned with a smirk, leaning closer to hear you better. "Nothing." you replied glaring back at him.
You grabbed your flashlight and the two of you walked back towards where you had left the others. Just as you and Larry arrive, a frantic Ashley and Sal come running into the room. "Holy shit Y/N, are you okay? We heard you screaming and made our way as fast as we could, you're not hurt are you?" Ashley questioned embracing you into a tight hug.
"I'm fine Ash, I just got a little startled." You chuckled awkwardly. "More like you pissed your pants." Larry added, you gave him a hard shove. A few moments later Todd and Neil both emerged from the basement.
"There's absolutely zero paranormal activity in this house. This place is BUNK!" Todd complained throwing his ghost hunting gear onto the floor in frustration. "Hey babe, it's not the end of the world, at least we had a good time right guys?" Neil said, looking back at the group for reassurance. "I definitely did." Larry spoke letting out another cocky chuckle. You balled your hands into fists fighting the urge to lodge your foot up his ass. "Let's just get going, it's getting late anyways." Sal said, The group then made their way back to the Van.

Larry dropped Ashley off at her house first, then drove back to the apartments. You said your goodbyes to everyone, except for Larry. As you entered back into your apartment you were met with an unexpected guest sitting on the couch. "Hi sweetie! I'm home!"
"Hi... Mom."
