Lost Best Friend

The next day everyone is working and you're sitting on the tower just drawing. "Hey Newt can i ask you something?" Thomas asks.
"Yeah sure," Newt replies turning to face Thomas. "See last night at the bonfire when Maria was talking about the glade and runners," Thomas says.
"Yeah what about it?" Newt asks.
"She said 'Be-' but then stopped what was that about?" Thomas asks.
"Well I'm supposed to tell anyone this because she would kill me but she was talking about her best friend Ben he died a few months ago," Newt says.
"How did he die?" Thomas asks.
"He was stung by a griever and we had to banish him.." Newt says.
"Oh so he's dead..." Thomas says.
"Yeah and she hasn't taking it well she blames herself for not protecting him she doesn't talk about it so don't bring it up or talk to her about it or him,okay?" Newt says looking up at the tower where you are still sitting drawing.
"Yeah of course I understand," Thomas respondes as Newt sees you climbing down from the tower. You walk over to them "hey boys what uses talking about?" You ask. "Nothing just random stuff," Newt says you can tell he's lying but you don't say anything.
Gally walks over to y'all "Hey guys,hey Maria," Gally says putting his arm over your shoulder as he normally does so it doesn't bother you.
"Hey Gally what's up?" You say.
"Uh I think Minho's looking for you," Gally says. "Okay see you guys later," you say before walking away with Gally to find Minho.
