And sure enough, that was the case. Amethyst's gemstone then started to shine a bright purple glow and slowly floated off of Steven's arms and up into the air. Much to his complete joy.
“Literally.” Garnet added.
Steven watched happily as Amethyst quickly reformed back to her normal self in mid-air and dropped onto the ground. In a state of sheer joy, Steven and Drawer both ran forth to give Amethyst a hug.
“Amethyst's back!” they both exclaimed as they wrapped their arms around her. Amethyst's back!”
However, Amethyst just groaned in slight pain as she pushed Steven and Drawer aside before she noticed her hands were replaced… with her own feet? As a result, Drawer just snickered while covering his face.
“Looks like you… grew a few FEET since the last time we saw you! Nyuck-nyuck-nyuck!” Steven joked around as he playfully nudged her arm.
“That was fast.” Garnet added in surprise as she approached them. “Even for you.”
“Ehh, It's no big deal.” Amethyst added as she then stood upside-down on her arm-legs. “I didn't wanna keep my biggest fans waiting!”
Steven just laughed until Amethyst put her foot on his head, which he pushed it away looking mildly grossed out and continued laughing. However, Garnet wasn't really laughing with them, mainly since they were still focused on finding the elusive Corrupted Gem, which was still on the loose.
“We got a Slinker to slink!” Amethyst remembered as she cartwheeled away.
Steven then attempted to cartwheel too, but failed halfway through. Luckily, Drawer decided to lend a hand by giving him a ride on his back, which the lucky Crystal Gem/human happily accepted as he climbed on his friend's back and started walking together, with Garnet following behind them.
“Hmm... Where would I go if I were a monster…” Amethyst asked herself as she walked towards a large hole in the wall that she just noticed. “Hey! Over here!”
They all then walked together into the hole and into the tunnel to continue their search. While they were doing just that, Drawer and Steven were getting more and more interested about Amethyst’s new look.
“Your new form of yours is really interesting!” Drawer approved.
“Thanks, Drawer.” Amethyst smiled proudly.
“I didn't even know you could come back this different!” Steven added in amazement.
“Thanks, Steven.” Amethyst said again, but this time, more annoyed.
“So... why'd you come back with four legs?” Drawer asked her.
“Cause I like walking!” Amethyst replied, now feeling totally annoyed.
“Wow… I want four legs too!” Steven exclaimed excitedly.
“No, you don’t!” Garnet disagreed.
“Besides, I don't think that your… human half can accomplish that.” Drawer added
“Amethyst rushed her regeneration.” Garnet explained to them. “She should've taken her time.”
Amethyst just rolled her eyes at Garnet's comment, groaning with annoyance. She was feeling quite offended, and even hurt inside, all because Garnet didn't appreciate her new form at all.
“Like Pearl?” Steven asked, which caused Amethyst to stop walking, feeling even MORE offended.
“Yes.” Garnet agreed. “Pearl put a bit more... thought into how she came back.”
