The sun shone through the curtains, lighting up my room and spreading warmth all over my body. But before I could even enjoy the warmth, the thudding footsteps came from outside my room. What followed was the routine of knocking loud enough to wake up a lion and the little girl jumping on me with enough force to knock down a tower.

"UGH!??!"I screamed out from the pain.

"Wake up big brother!!!" said a little girl in a cheery voice as if what she did was the norm.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KI--!!" Before I Could finish my sentence, a piece of toasted bread was thrown into my mouth. Although it was tasty, I could barely chew thanks to the pain.

"Mom said to wake you up or else you'll be late for school" flinching when I heard the words late for school I realized that the act of jumping on me was still not allowed.

"That doesn't mean you can jump at me with enough force to kill me." I said in an icey tone but She turned around and stuck out her tongue as if she didn't have a care in the world.

"Teehee" after giggling at me she turned and ran for the door as if knowing what was to come

"SARAH!!!!!" I yell at the top of my lungs , my voice filled with anger for the little girl who barged into my room

"Stop screaming, go to school" my mother yelled from downstairs , startled from the yell. I remembered that school was a thing and I needed to be ready quickly throwing on my school uniform. I rushed downstairs and I put on my shoes and ran out the door.

"I'm going now," I said, turning away from my mom.

"Have a safe trip," she replied.

-------------------------------------------------------

On my way to school I saw a familiar haircut. I sped up my pace and ran to the boy with ruffled black hair and wrapped my hand around him.

"What's up Alaric?"

The boy named Alaric with blue eyes glared at me , clearly showing he was displeased.

"I was peaceful reading my manga and you had to interrupt, huh Eric?"

Alaric started.

"I-it's not like I did that with intention ok!!"

Alaric continued to glare at me until I released my arm from around him.

"How can you be so rough right in the morning when you just woke up?" Alaric said in a mockingly voice but in return I Cheerfully said

"Because I Had a great time waking up." As i said that i filled my voice with the most sarcasm i could.

"From the sound of it let me guess your little sister jumped on you again."

I Stared at him but as if he could sense my surprise.

"What are you staring at Eric?" Alaric said in a voice that feels like if you don't answer you're done for.

"No. Well, I just didn't expect you to actually care." I almost stuttered my words but I managed to get across my intention that it felt weird for him to care about any topic except his daily life.

" I can read your thoughts like a book with the face you got there." he says in a fox like tone very different from his previous tone that demanded an answer

"Huh, what do you mean read me like a book?" I Tilted my head, confused.

"Pfft" I heard Alaric holding back a laugh

"What's so funny!!" I Shouted embarrassed

"Nothing much," Alaric said with a peculiar grin. As if to assure me it "wasn't much" I waved it away and kept walking with Alaric.

As Alaric and I were heading to sit down in the classroom, a girl with almond hair walked up to Alaric.

"U-u-um can I have some of your t-time Alaric!" I don't have a good feeling about this.

The girl was blushing in front of Alaric while I was thinking about this. Alaric opened his mouth to answer the girl but stared at me with eyes wide in shock. He was screaming but I couldn't hear him. He was rushing forward towards me but his figure disappeared with a flash of light.
