"I'm not doing this for myself, Aldren. I'm doing this for us, if you think I'm gonna give up my dream just like you did then think again."

Her words towards Aldren has been repeating on her head over and over again. Arguing is like a part of their everyday life now since they moved to California as husband and wife.

"Mrs. Castonia? Are you listening?" her secretary's words wake her up form her thoughts.

"Yes, Ara. You can move everything on wednesday." I said since a known company is inviting us on a meet up I need to adjust my other schedules.

"But wednesday is your day-off ma'am, is it really ok?"

"Yes I can handle it, now get back to your desk and start working on it."
I said as I stand up. I'm going home for a bit to inform Aldren.

This work is really draining her out. Business is not just the right job for her, she had no choice but to take over after her father died from a disease.

--

After 30 minutes I arrived home just  to see Aldren drowning himself from alcohol again.

"Aldren! We already talked about this! You said you'll stop, it's already been a year Aldren please let him go. He's in peace now and I know you know that too." I said comforting him from the pain of losing his one and only family, his brother Andrei.

"I still see him in my dreams El, I still haven't say sorry to him, I still have so many things to say to him." Aldren's words pained her knowing that he's still blaming himself for what happened.

I stayed with him for a bit until he fell asleep. I cleaned everything before leaving a note. I can't leave him like this but this promotion will be a benefit for both of us.

--

As I drive away from home our situation keeps bothering me especially Aldren's personal problems, I need to do things for him to feel better but how. I'm so busy handling our family business and looking for a modeling agency that can make my dream come true.

Aldren was a former runway model back in New York but he resigned after what happened to his family, I don't want that to happen anymore. Modeling is mine and Aldren's dream since we we're kids. We are best friends not until our family decided to arrange a marriage for us.

Ara quickly follows me as I enter the company.

"Ma'am, the company that invited us to a meet-up also owns a modeling agency and I thought telling you this might help."

"Really? That's good. Make an article about that and we'll bring it to us to the meeting. Thank you Ara." I said smiling at her before going into my office.

I know that Aldren will not like this decision that I'm making but the thought of finally fulfilling my childhood dream overwhelms me. I owe Aldren my life, he can file a divorce anytime but he didn't because he knows that my mother will take the company from me which is not a very good idea.

Aldren's POV;

I woke up with my head hurting like hell. I roam my eyes around the house and notices that everything's clean, the bottles of alcohol he drank earlier was now in the trash.

"El must have it cleaned." I murmured.

As soon as I stand up, I noticed a note at the top of the counter.

"I'm gonna be away for three days. I have a meeting with Lux Main Corporate for the business and I'm thinking of joining the agency they have under fashion and modeling. I already know you'll be mad if you found out about this but I have made my decision and I'm willing to take the risk. I am very sorry Aldren, I hope you'd understand."

                                                 - Elain

"Her passion about modeling really is fascinating. We already talked about this but I already know she won't listen. I guess I'd just let her chase her dreams." I said as I stand up to shower.
