Slowly regaining your consciousness, your eyes attempt to open. They immediately squeeze shut when all you could see was light, though. You felt a pillow underneath your head, and you could tell you were in something else other than your beige colored gown because of the weight difference in the clothes. You weren't a fan, wearing something else felt extremely weird.

You try to open your eyes again, but this time slower. Squinting, all you could make out was a ceiling, some weird blood extracting looking machine on the left side of your bed, some giant doors on your right, and..

Your eyes widen.

Were you looking at.. windows? Windows that let the warm rays of sunshine beam through into where you were? Was this a dream? Where on Earth were you?

You hadn't seen or even felt sunlight in years. Saying the feeling was odd was a huge understatement.

In a state of uncertainty, you manage to lazily sit up feeling familiar bandages rub against your skin, although this time they were more soft, and less scratchy. After making sure you were steady, you looked to your left through the windows.

There were birds flying through the air, cars whizzing by here and there, the grass was slowly swaying in the light breeze, and to top it off the sun was rising creating a beautiful orange/pink sky.

You had absolutely no idea what to feel. You were wearing different clothes for once, and now you could see outside. You could feel the warm sun on you again. Either you were dreaming and it felt real, or this was actually happening.

"Oh, good morning dear."

You instantly turned your head around to see who was talking. It was a lady, wearing a small smile on her face. Was this person good, or bad? Unaware of where you were, you backed up on your bed.

They were most likely bad, right? They had to be.

You tried to speak up, but it sort of hurt to speak and whatever you said sounded raspy. You let out a small cough and looked down.

"Here."

Looking up, you could see that this lady was handing some water to you. Despite not trusting her you took the water. You were extremely thirsty, as you didn't have water in two days.

Sensing your distress, the lady spoke up. "It's alright, dear. I'm not going to hurt you."

Did her words help you?

Not really. But looking around closely, you did notice that there were no knives or needles around. But remembering what was on the left of your bed, you pointed to it not wanting to speak yet.
