You were nervously...
Tapping your foot on the ground. Nails clicking against your cup. Looking at the door every time you heard the bell ring, signaling that someone has walked in. You were waiting for Denki, you planned to tell him how you felt. The kiss made you way more sure on how your feelings towards him.
You didn't think just any friend would look after you while you were sick, staying over in the same room where they could possibly get sick as well. At least none of your other friends would have. You always thought he was an attractive guy. His beautiful golden eyes, his features, and his amazing personality.
You recently found yourself thinking about him at random times in the day. You would wonder what he was doing or you would see something, like a pencil and wonder if he could make beats with it. "What are you smiling at?" A familiar voice spoke. You snapped out of your thoughts and looked to the male that sat in the seat across from you. "O-oh nothing." You waved your hand dismissively as your cheeks went hot from embarrassment, considering he was what you were thinking about.
"It was probably about our kiss, I know I've been thinking about it." He let out a sigh with a smile on his face. You let out a nervous chuckle. "Oh really?" You took a quick sip from your cup. "Yeah, I already told the group, they were excited for me. I talk about you a lot, they are probably annoyed." He let out a short laugh and looked away.
Your face softened. "You talk about me?" You messed with your fingernails, trying to find a way to take the nervous out your system. "Of course I do! You are like the best thing that has happened to me, even during my relationship with Jiro." He perked up with a smile.
You stopped moving and just stared at him. "That's crazy." You shook your head. "I know but, I like crazy." He shrugged. "I know this is silly to say but, maybe we were meant to be. You know? Maybe our ex's were supposed to end up together, so we could be together." He reached over and grabbed you hands, holding them in his. "You think so?" You asked softly, watching as his thumb caressed over your knuckles.
"I've never been more sure. And I know we both just got out of a relationship about three months ago but this," His grip tightened a bit on your hands. "Us. It feels right." He finished. You looked up to meet his eyes, trying to find out if he is lying or not. He looked genuine. He had the softest smile on his face as he stared into your eyes.
"Denki," Its like your mouth ran dry. "I like you." You squeezed his hands a little. "Well good, because I think I fall for you a little more each day." He stood from his seat, hands still in yours. He made his way over to your side and pulled you up from your spot.
He wrapped a hand around your waist and pulled you close. "Can I be your boyfriend?" He looked down at you, soft eyes, soft smile, hand in yours, gently holding you by your waist. You couldn't refuse. "Yes, you can be my boyfriend." You smiled wide and let out a short laugh. He removed his hand from your waist and cupped your cheek. He slowly pulled you in for a passionate kiss, longer than the first.
You closed your eyes and enjoyed the moment before separating. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. "Why did it feel like we just got married?" You laughed as you pulled back to look at him. "Maybe because one day we'll say 'I do' to each other." He winked. You let out a sarcastic laugh.
"That's if you can handle me for that long." You reached down and grabbed your cup off the table, turning, you pulled Denki by his hand out of the cafe. "I know I can." He wrapped his arms around your waist from behind and lead the way as you walked, his head resting on top of yours. You held onto his wrist and continued to walk.
"How long have you knew?" You asked casually. "When we went to the park that one time and got ice cream afterwards. I realized you were like me." He spoke, moving his head to your shoulder. "Wow, I think I started to like you more and more after we started hanging out. You were always a gentleman and you just had all of what I looked for in a guy." You sighed with a small smile.
"Oh really? So I was doing everything right?" He smiled widely. "Yeah basically, your looks were a plus. But you definitely got me to like you." You slightly leaned you head back against his chest, watching as you stepped forward.
"I'm happy I can call you mine now." He stopped walking and kissed your cheek. You turned in his arms and looked up to him. "So am I." You cupped his cheeks and gave him a chaste kiss. You didn't care that you were in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking the way of others. They would just have to walk around because you wanted to enjoy this small moment.
