Ringing. that's all Kari could hear. The blurred vision of a figure running towards her shouting what she thought was her name. But soon after she blacked out...
When she awoke, Kari saw the blurred outline of Karai standing there talking to a male voice. When her vision cleared she took a look around the room and came to the conclusion she was in the hospital.
the hospital room contained various machines like a heart monitor and some other equipment she couldn't name. The constant beeping sound from the monitor started to give her a headache. she groaned, the sound went right through her head. When Karai heard a groan coming from Kari, she finished talking to the doctor then went to Kari's bedside. smiling, Karai said, "Hey, i thought i was gonna lose you for a second!"
Kari didn't reply for a second after that as she struggled to find words, but after a long pause she replied with "Really? You thought i was going to die!" she tried to keep a straight face but she failed and broke into a fit of laughter. Karai made a pouty face "Anyway, the MPA neutralised the Minotaur and took him to the containment facility until we know what to do with him." "Okay that's good" Kari replied.
For months, Kari and Karai had been working on trying to investigate why all these mythological creatures had been popping up all over New York. So far they'd had no luck. To make things worse, they had gone to meet someone who could give them some insight to why these incidents have been happening more frequently. when they arrived a the warehouse they found they were tricked. And that's when the Minotaur attacked them. Kari pushed Karai out of the Minotaur's target range so she wouldn't get hurt.
Kari and Karai are Twins, Their Parents were Japanese. Shortly after they had moved to New York when the girls were young, Their parents were murdered but whoever killed them was never discovered.
After a week, Kari was discharged. "So i guess it's back to work for us then, huh?" Said Kari to her sister "Yeah, and i can't wait!" replies Karai as they walk through the doors .
"welcome back Kari, hope your ready for a mission..."
"Definitely, Director Fury"
