CHAPTER EIGHT

AFTER LEAVING the other place they were at, Yuri explained the whole thing that happened, about getting a call and being told her brother was taken. "Kidnapped? So you're saying you have no idea what's happening to your brother?" Mayuko asked and Hiro looks at Yuri as well, in concern. "Yes, but let's not worry about it." Yuri turned back to look at the two girls and the one boy.

"My big brother is super strong, like my cousin, right?" Yuri smiled big, nudging Hiro softly who smiles back. "Yeah, Yuri... he'll pull through." He nods. "Of course, I'm going to worry." Mayuko says with her arms crossed as Kuon stares at Yuri and Hiro in awe. "We barely even know anything about the enemy that shot at us." Mayuko says.

Hiro glanced around, remembering about how Sniper Mask said a Swimmer Mask also attacked him and helped some woman put a mask on him. "Hiro? Something wrong?" Yuri tilts her head at the boy who shakes his head quickly. "No... nothing." He says.

"Right, I almost forgot... uh, I had a question to ask you." He says and Yuri raised a brow. "What is it, Hiro?" She asked and Hiro glanced away then back into her eyes. "Um... I-I don't really recognize him, even when I saw his face but were Rika and Sniper Mask maybe..." Hiro's question is cut off when the girls' attention taken away by the sound of a helicopter. "What is that noise?" Kuon asked in a quiet voice, a little shocked.

"Mayuko, it looks like it has come."

"Yes, that brings back memories."

Yuri watched as the helicopter now flies over them and then it turns the other way. "It's leaving already!" Yuri shouted out as they watch the helicopter heading back the other way. "It looks like it's gonna land at that building..." Hiro points at the place.

At the sound of gunshots, Hiro immediately perked up. He knows that sound, he knows what gun that is. "Did you hear that?" Mayuko asked Yuri. "Yes, it's Sniper Mask and another person." Yuri turns to Mayuko and Hiro now standing side by side.

"Mr. Mask?" Kuon said and Hiro jumps up to the other top part of the building, taking out the binoculars he had in his backpack. "Mr. Tanaka, you're amazing!" Kuon stared up at him in awe as Yuri came and jumped up to where he was standing.

"Oh, my! You're amazing too, Ms. Yuri!" Kuon exclaimed with excitement. Hiro looked everywhere until he saw a woman standing, holding a rifle. "There! Wait, a girl Mask? She's got a rifle, so the other gunfire must have been hers." Hiro explained to Yuri and Kuon glanced down at her phone in her hand.

If I help Mr. Mask... I'll be the one who saves Hiro's new friend. But I'll go back to being on the side and not have his whole attention. But it could also mean he'll thank me a lot for saving Mr. Mask. Kuon took a long moment to really think things through.

"Do you see him? Sniper Mask?" Yuri asked and Hiro followed where the woman was aiming. "I-I can't see him." He whispered and Yuri taps him. "Can I look?" She says and Hiro jumps down to Kuon, grabbing her arm. "Can you please use... you know? We-we need to help him. If I can't see him, it means--" "Why are you there?" Yuri cut off Hiro, talking out loud most likely to herself.

"She severed the rifle! Well done, Ein!"

"Ein?" Mayuko says and Hiro looks at her right away. "Who's she?" He asked and Mayuko turns to them. "You saw the battle at the antenna building, right? Ein was the Mask with the katana." She says and Hiro's brows raise. "The badass little girl?" He asked and Kuon smiled. "The adorably dressed one!" She says, her hand clutching her cell phone. "Then it seems like I don't need to shoot this." She says, Hiro glancing at her.
