The Final Battle

Miracle Queen was pacing in her wedding dress, Gabriel Agreste standing behind her. "Where is he?!" She shouted, turning to the king, "Go upstairs and find him, he's probably in his room."

"Do it yourself." The King replied.

"You know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!"

The King rolled his eyes and walked up the stairs, knocking on his son's door, "Adrien, I know you're probably nervous but... but I'm here for you, you know that? Come on out, Let me help you."

No one answered.

"Adrien?" The King said again, before opening the door. No one was inside. "ADRIEN!" He shouted. He ran back down the stairs, "He's not in his room!" He shouted to Miracle Queen.

"What?! He couldn't have left, I had guards posted at the doors all day!" Miracle Queen replied.

That's when the castle doors were kicked down, revealing Ladybug and Chat Noir,

"We rescued your little finance in distress." Chat Noir said.

"And now we will defeat you, Miracle Queen!" Ladybug finished.

"You will not ruin my son's wedding! I will get your miraculous and make my wish, and everything will be normal again!" The King shouted.

"You want the miraculous?" Chat Noir repeated.

"Oh, it hasn't hit you yet? Maybe if I show you my true form! Nooroo, dark wings, rise!"

With that, the great king of the Agreste kingdom turned into the evil Hawkmoth before their very eyes.

And the battle began.

Chat Noir was in such a state of shock seeing his own father turn into the villain they were fighting all along, that Ladybug had to block the swarm of wasps coming to attack them but spinning her yoyo to drive the bugs away in a whirlwind.

"Chat Noir, I need you!" Ladybug said.

Chat Noir nodded, "Okay My Lady, I'm alright! Let's do this!"

Miracle Queen sent forward her hypnotized minions, but they weren't that useful considering they had no idea how to fight and Ladybug and Chat Noir were not holding back this time. The pair forced themselves forward through the crown until they were in front of Miracle Queen and Hawkmoth, but it seemed Hawkmoth wasn't holding back either. The old man was holding a cane, but when he took off the handle he was able to pull a sword out. He lunged forward at Ladybug and Chat Noir protected her, parrying like an expert fencer. Ladybug went to focus on Miracle Queen. "Chloe, don't try anything, just give me the crown, it's for the greater good."

"Never!"

"Fine then, lucky charm!" Ladybug shouted, making a jug full of ice water materialize.

Miracle Queen called upon her wasps, not knowing their own weakness. Ladybug took great pleasure in dumping the water all over Miracle Queen, taking her wasps in tow. Miracle Queen screamed about how her wedding hair-do was ruined, not even realizing that her minions were returning to normal. Ladybug grabbed the tiara off of her head and snapped it in half, releasing the akuma.

She turned around, following the black butterfly, ready to release the akuma from evil, and saw a flash of silver coming towards her.

Hawkmoth's sword.

She flinched, waiting for pain but it never came. When she opened her eyes she saw Chat Noir standing in front of her... the blade piercing through him.

She screamed in horror.

Chat Noir fell to the floor.

"ADRIEN NO!" She screamed, kneeling down next to him.

"P-Plagg, claws in...." he mumbled. He transformed back to himself just as Hawkmoth was about to strike her down as well. The man stopped in his tracks.

"S-son? No... no please no!"

"Adrien please don't leave me now, this is all wrong, this can't be our ending...." Ladybug pleaded, holding his hand.

Adrien smiled, blood trickling down his lips, "I... I will always love the girl... behind the mask..."

He did not speak again.

Hawkmoth reached out to Ladybug, "I can bring him back, give me his ring, and your earrings. It can grant a wish-"

"A wish that costs a terrible price." said a voice in the doorway. It was the old man, Master Fu. "You would know enough about wishes like that, wouldn't you Hawkmoth?"

Hawkmoth growled, "You started all of this!"

"No, you did, with your greed and selfishness. Praying on the innocent to turn back time and bring someone back. I only hope Ladybug won't be selfish like you."

"What?" Hawkmoth said, turning around to see Ladybug putting on the black cat miraculous.

Everything went white for Ladybug. She couldn't see, she could only hear a thousand voices saying over and over: "What is your wish?"

Marinette thought. Master Fu said not to be selfish. Bringing Adrien back... that would only be good for her. Hawkmoth would still be on the loose going after the miraculous for the wish he wanted to make before Adrien died. She wanted something new for everyone, for everyone to get a chance to be good, even Chloe and Hawkmoth.

"I wish... I wish for a new life for everyone in my kingdom. We need a second chance, a chance to be good."

She was blinded by a blast of white light and heard the words:

"As you wish."
