"Move the banner to the right a little... no the other right, yes! Yes there!" Marinette said to the servant, "Thank you, that's perfect." She said before running off to check on more of the preparations.

That day a very important ambassador was coming. Prince Ali from the kingdom of Achu. He was coming to discuss his ideas to help peasant children move up in the world, a very noble cause.

In her rush to get everything ready for the welcoming party they were holding for him, Marinette bumped into another girl, making her drop a large bouquet of flowers.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry!" Marinette said, bending down to help her pick up the flowers again, "I wasn't looking- Oh my, these flowers are just beautiful!"

A young girl with short blonde hair looked up at me, cradling a bunch of the flowers she had dropped, "Oh, thank you Your Highness!" She said in a high, innocent voice, "I wasn't put on duty for this, but I'm just so excited for the prince to come visit, I thought the scent would be a nice touch-"

"ROSE!" Came a shout from the stairs. The pitter patter of high heels on the marble alerted everyone to the arrival of Chloe Bourgeois. "Rose get over here and help me change into my good dress!" Chloe shouted over the railing.

"Yes Mistress!" Rose said, quickly putting the flowers she had collected on a nearby table.

"Wait," Marinette said, touching the girl's shoulder before she could scurry off, "Chloe Bourgeois is your mistress?"

"Yes," Rose said quietly, "but I was just so excited to see Prince Ali, I just wanted to make everything perfect."

Marinette smiled, "Well thank you for your help, Rose. I'll be sure to have these flowers arranged on the tables, your work will not be forgotten."

"Oh! Oh thank you Your High-''''ROSE!" "Excuse me!"

And with that the small girl ran off and up the stairs. How a girl could stand working for Chloe for so long, Marinette didn't know, but the girl seemed so sweet, she must be very optimistic.

Marinette picked up the bouquets of flowers and asked another servant to set out some vases, and started to arrange them.

"No not that pair, the pair with the pearls!" Chloe shouted at her handmaiden, "God Rose, I have no idea why I still keep you as my servant."

"My apologies Madam." Rose replied, bringing over the pair over earrings for Chloe to examine.

"Ah yes... Prince Ali won't be able to resist me in these. He and Adrien will have to fight over me!" She said with a laugh.

Rose's eyes widened in awe, "You're going to meet Prince Ali tonight?"

Chloe whipped her head around to face her handmaiden, "Why, of course I am! I, Chloe Bourgeois, the Representative elected by the people, simply has to meet Prince Ali, with all of his ideas about... about...."

"Learning and leadership opportunities for the peasantry!"

"Yes yes whatever, get my necklace."

Rose started to bounce on her tiptoes with excitement. She ran over to the jewelry box to retrieve the necklace, letting out a deep breath before she started to speak again.

"Madam Bourgeois," She started to say as she put the necklace around her mistress's neck, "I was wondering, if, well, you won't be needing me during the party today, so-"

"Spit it out! What do you want?"

Rose inhaled sharply, "May I please go to the party with you to meet Prince Ali?"
