I woke the following Thursday confused about what had happened. Isaac sat at the end of my bed glaring at Derek who was asleep outside in the waiting room. How long has he been here? Isaac noticed me, finally awake and almost at normal. "Hey sleeping... well I can't say beauty cause you look destroyed. What happened? Where you driving to fast?" He hugged me tight hurting my bruised ribs. "I... I don't know.. I saw... eyes?" And as I said that Derek walked in all his concern gone. "What colour? Did you see what they belonged to?" He said sternly almost scared. "Derek! Back off!" Isaac stood abruptly his eyes glowing yellow first step in a transformation. He looked angry, he looked attractive like that. No eww!
"I'm fine..." I managed to mumbled sitting up right. "Can we talk later I am really hungry. Isaac?" He went back to normal, smiled at me and went to get me some breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? What time was it?
"I'm sorry." Derek Hale said as he sat next to me on the bed. He reached out his hand and grasped mine. I could feel his warmth then suddenly my body weakened but made me feel alive. Black liquid spreading through his veins and he winced. "What did you do!?" I helped as I flung my hand away and look at it in awe. "I took some of your pain away, look Octavia... I really... I thought you were dead and didn't know what to do." A tear rolled down his cheek and I leaned forward and wiped it away. "My whole family died... I don't know death scares me sometimes." I kissed him on the cheek and he smiled at me. Was I falling for a guy I barely knew? Was I falling for Derek Hale? I looked away and Isaac walked in with some chips. We sat there laughed and talked and all the others came to join us. They all looked terrified. At that moment I realised I had friends.. best friends who loved me. That was the best feeling I ever had!
3 days later I was out of hospital and feeling almost back to normal. I wasn't going to go back to school Til the following week so Scott and Isaac arranged that I go to Derek's house while they were at school.
We pulled up into Derek's loft it was at the top of an apartment building. Isaac took off his glasses and looked at me. "You okay?" I rolled my eyes.
Why does everyone ask that? "Yes Isaac I am okay!" I laughed and climbed out the car. "I will pick you up at 2!" He yelled while backing up the car "WHATEVER!" I giggled.
This is going to be interesting.
Derek was waiting at the door when I reached the top. "How did you.." He laughed. Yes, Derek Hale laughed. "I heard you, smelled you. Nice perfume by the way." He said but continued as he saw the confused look on my face. "Werewolf Tay. I am a werewolf." I nodded in remembrance. "Well... you gonna come in?" I walked into his apartment and brushed past him.
