                                 TW: DEATH,GORE AND DESTRUCTION.
I suggest listening to "As The World Caves In." by.  Matt Maltese

"If one day, I lose control.. destroy Mondstadt.. destroy everything.. can i rely on you to stop me?"
Those words stuck with them. Up until a few minutes ago they never understood what he meant. Drowning in the screams of the innocent civilians. Looking up into the sky was a sight that would make even the Archons frantic.

Albedo stared down on the city, mind corrupted by darkness, in this state of mind all he knew was destruction. He heard the cries of agony, he saw the dead corpses and wrecked buildings, but he felt no remorse. "Alert the Acting Grand Master immediately!"Shouted a knight, Albedo turned his attention towards the young man dressed in a knight outfit. Grabbing the cursed sword he jumped down off the elevated flower slashing the mans head clean off. He turned his head behind him looking at his trembling comrades. "There is no reason to be scared, I will make it quick." he claimed. The knights were quick to draw their swords out taking a step back for caution. Albedo took a deep breath in, seemingly calm. Slowly walking towards them he swiftly spun his sword enabling all 5 of them immobile, blood seeped out of the mouths of the injured knights.

"Albedo, what's going on, what are you doing?" the traveller stuttered out from behind him. He slowly turned towards them a deranged look on his face, "What ever do you mean Traveller?" He cooed, taking a step towards them, all the traveller could see was complete and utter insanity, 'what's happening they' asked themselves. "I always knew this day would come however I never knew it would feel this...ethereal ." His words were laced with venom, terrifying yet somehow enchanting. Albedo suddenly jumped towards them with the intent to kill.

Their swords clashed together as they fought, sweat running down the travellers face they were scared, scared of what was to come. "Albedo please I don't want to hurt you." They cried out trying to reason with him. Albedo took this opportunity to quickly slash their side cutting their arm open, blood gushed out of the fresh wound. Holding onto their arm hand covered in their own blood they tried one last time to get him out of his delirious mind."Please stop, this is your city, klee is here, your friends your assistants please albedo stop." But it was no use, he had no common sense and trying to reason with him was like talking to a brick wall. Taking a step back, wind began to swirl in their hand. "I'm sorry." they whispered, throwing their hands towards him the wind that was now fully formed pushed his body through a wall.

Albedo was trapped underneath cement and rubble, the traveller took this opportunity to sneak out of the battle and help remaining civilians get to safety. Holding their wound as tight as they could, they sprinted towards the gates of Mondstadt hoping to find the knights escorting people to safety, however their hope was crushed as they saw the cavalry captain lying on the floor.

The traveller ran over to his aid doing everything they could to help him. "A-ah traveller what a nice s-surprise." Kaeya mumbled, he knew these were his last moments, but yet he felt relief. "K-kaeya quickly get on my back." The traveller begged, but Kaeya was stubborn he always has been, he refused to let them help him.Instead he laid his head on the ground take a breath of fresh air, "Traveller I w-would like you to tell Diluc s-something for me." he uttered. "No kaeya you tell him yourself!" They pleaded shaking their head while tears threatened to spill out. "Tell him...i-its not his fault it n-never was, t-tell him that I still think of him a-as my brother and that I always h-have." he mumbled. He was tired and all he wanted to do was close his eyes and not have to feel this pain anymore, physically and mentally. "Kaeya please, hold on." They cried but it was of no use, kaeyas eyes slowly began to shut, and it was on his last breath he pulled of his eye patch handing it to the traveller.

"What a weak captain am I right." They heard a familiar voice beam out. His blond hair came into view as he stepped out from behind a pile of rubble. The traveller let go of kaeya body, as they stood up wiping their fresh tears away, they knew the only solution, and yet they hesitated, they already lost so many people, and Albedo was still their friend. But if they wanted to save the city they knew what had to be done.

Grabbing their sword they charged towards albedo, their swords crashed together for the second time today. "Say traveller are you ready to go down with this city too." He stated, his face growing with a wicked grin, this wasn't truly albedo they told themselves, " Never, I wont let you cause anymore harmed" They snapped, Albedo narrowed his eyes, glaring straight at them as the continued to clash swords, the dust making it harder to see and breathe as they continued to fight.

The traveller whipped around albedo, catching him of guard the slashed their sword through his stomach. Albedo turned his head around eyes widened and mouth open, before he fell to the ground. The traveller stood back cautiously eyeing him. "T-traveller what happened, where is klee?" He asked, the traveller slowly sat next to him still ready to grab their sword at any time they needed too. "...you lost control." They explained, albedo turned his head towards his stomach, he was bleeding and he knew what would come, he knew that this would happen eventually and that in the end he wouldn't be here anymore. " I knew this d-day would come." He shakily replied. " I'm sorry Albedo..." The traveller voiced, they tried to hide their rising guilt. "It's what you had to do, before I pass on please can you do something for me." He began, he reach for the travellers hand holding them softly.

"Take care of Klee for me..." He whispered, the traveller nodded their head, " I am truly sorry albedo." they cried out, they felt so much guilt, he was their friend and they just took away his life. "You need not fret, it was bound to h-happen one day." He said, he gave their hand one final squeeze, "I apologise for w-what happened." He uttered slowly closing his eyes, his arms began to turn back into chalk slowly engulfing him.
The sun shined brightly down upon them as all that was left of Albedo was now a pile of chalk. The traveller began tearing up, the reality of what just happened hitting them.

On that day, the healers began searching for survivors, they found the traveller on the floor unconscious with severe injuries, the traveller survived however the guilt they felt still eats them alive. The city of Freedom was rebuilt back to it original glory, the sun shine down everyday as many people roam the streets with smiles on their faces. In the cathedral their is two memorials. One for the Calvary Captain Kaeya, and one for the Chief Alchemist Albedo.

"Happy birthday big brother, I hope your happy up in heaven playing with a bunch of bombs and doing a lot of research." Klee flew her arms around, although she looked happy you could see the pain resting on her face, she really misses albedo and kaeya too. "Alright klee its time to go, grab your jacket ok." The traveller smiled. She agreed smiling and ran off to grab her coat. "Happy birthday Albedo." The traveller softly spoke laying down a eden flower. "I'm ready." klee exclaimed smiling brightly. The traveller held out their hand as klee softly grabbed onto it. "Alright lets go." The traveller smiled.
