This is a note to everyone starting this story.  I'm currently working on editing big time.  I explained it all in the Author's Note that's part 10.  The info-dumping and lack of descriptions will hopefully be magically vanquished like similar to the manner a knight defeats evil minions.  Maybe...

If you want to read it anyways, go right ahead.  Just though I'd let all new reader's know it will be better soon. (hopefully)

Chapter 1

It started out a normal week. It was a few hours after dawn and I was in the lowest level of my tower reading.

I was fifteen and had about a month before my birthday, when I turned sixteen and was officially considered an adult. Since I am the firstborn princess, that meant I had about a month until I was legally allowed to be married off. As you can imagine, I wasn't looking forward to my birthday.

One of my brothers came in with his leg oddly bent being supported by his other two brothers.

I have three younger brothers. Their names are Noble, Luxor, and Adam. They're triplets.

It appeared that this time, Luxor was hurt. My brothers love jousting, dueling, hunting, and just fighting in general about as much as they like girls. Since I'm a healer, they always come to me for healing whenever they get hurt. Unfortunately, this seemed to happen once a fortnight in a pretty stead rotation.

"So Luxor's hurt this time? You really make me think you plan you injuries! A fortnight ago was Adam, and a fortnight before that it was Noble! Just when you finish healing, one of you has to break something again! What was it this time? Jousting, dueling, or hunting? But I still don't understand why you come to me for healing when there's the palace doctor who gets paid to heal you."

"Well that's because you're so good at it! He was going after a wild boar and was knocked off his horse. His foot was caught in the stirrup and the horse paniced and dragged him quite a ways before he got untangled. I knew he wouldn't get the boar, he definitely wasn't skilled enough for it." Noble replied, as the unofficial leader of my brothers.

"And you were probaby the one who put him up to it! You're the one behind all the bad ideas!"

I sighed. Standing, I led the way to the stairwell that led to the next floor of my tower, where I kept all of my healing supplies. "Be careful with him!" I said, noticing how Luxor's handsome face was creased with pain, his golden hair damp with sweat, and his sky blue eyes glazed over.

Arriving on the next floor I gathered the necessary supplies while instructing Noble and Adam to lay Luxor on the table in the center of the room and then wait downstairs.

I got to work and about an hour later helped him downstairs with strict orders not to use it to much for the next few days.

I may have never used a weapon but I'm not completely helpless. I know how to use magic and that is probably the reason why I'm so good at healing.

I learned I had magic by accident when I made a seed I planted bloom in less than a minute when I was a child. Since then I had taught myself magic. It was mostly guess work with some rather interesting results, but I have some things that I can do using these 'spells' of mine and healing is one of them.

After I watched them leave, I told my parents I was going for a ride and headed to the stables with the required two guards.

I saddled my brown mare Aza who is vicious enough to be a warhorse. I am the only one she acts civil to and I felt sorry for her which is why I ended up owning her. If I hadn't taken her, she probably would have been killed or had her spirit broken.
