Y/Ns pov

you woke up the next morning with your body still tangled up with spencers, the smell of his cologne was fresh on your senses and his hair was a ruffled mess, you turned over and checked your phone for the time and realized you had plenty of time until you had to be up for work. as your feet touched the floor you cursed at yourself as the wooded floors creaked loudly underneath you, nearly waking reid up. you put on a pot of coffee and decided to refresh yourself for the case.

child abductions.

they always sucked, they never didn't suck and they were never going to not suck so you just had to power through until you caught the scumbag committing these crimes.

jonas robertson

a name that wasn't familiar to you until hotch had brought him up as a suspect for the case the day before, you and the team had suspected the unsub would be a woman but when reviewing small bits of the case you slowly realized it was a male. he was showing no remorse for the children and was doing textbook things that mourning fathers do. you had garcia research into his past and it came up that he had freshly lost a child just six months before the murders started. sighing, you picked up your mug of coffee and began to rack your rain from where you knew that name.

'jonas robertson, jonas. roberston. jonas robertson.' you began to repeat his name to make it make some sort of sense when you heard a quiet voice from beside you.

'could you keep it down y/n, you sound like you're trying to summon the dude,' he laughed slightly and sat up beside you holding his hands out to receive your precious cup of coffee that you were trying to savor.

'there you go princess,' you mocked him but in a friendly way making sure he felt an ounce of comfort following the previous nights' events. you were cautious with what you said to reid and were deeply unsure of where you stood with him but tried not to disturb any tranquility you had going on.

'im going to hop in the shower quickly y/n and I better have a five-star meal ready for me when I'm out,' he made a point to accentuate the 'better' in an attempt to make his soft voice sound a little more intimidating. it didn't work of course.

'ill make sure of it your majesty!' you gave him an eye roll and made your way to the mini kitchen your hotel room had, beginning to make some pancakes for you and the genius as the water started running from the other room. you hummed as you poured the batter in the hot pan, grimacing when it missed completely, and splashed the counter.

the bathroom door creaked from behind you as it did when it was first opened and I refreshed looking spencer walked into the main room of your hotel his towel -like the first time this happened- again hung low on his waist but this time his hair was brushed back and behind his ears with his curls just emerging at the bottom of his hair.

he got dressed into some trousers and a cream shirt with a green and blue plaid cardigan, accessorized with his black converse and his brown leather satchel. placing his belongings on the table in front of him he sighed and then sat down in front of you smiling at the plate of strawberry and cream pancakes on the table.

'breakfast is served monsieur reid,' you faked a bow and poured him another cup of coffee to wake him up.

'thank you love,' he smiled back at you and began to tuck into his food. you could faintly see the scars of where the needle once more but hope grew in your chest and you noticed how much they had faded since you last saw them, you went to open your mouth to speak about last night but decided against it not wanting to upset him.

once the two of you had finished your meals you set out for the day leaving your things in your hotel room and making sure you coked the door behind you.
